The Yankee sluggers should have no problems connecting with Byrd. Why risk a bad start by a tired Wang, and compromise him for the ALCS if they get there? This also translates into Andy going on 3 days rest if they win tomorrow. Shady business imo.
Personally, I would have gone with Moose with Kennedy waiting to spell him as Hughes spelled Clemens today.
I think Steinbrenner needs to keep his mouth shut. Thanks to his comments, Torre is more now interested in just getting out of this series rather than focussing on a WS.

This is perfect for Wang
He is a sinkerballer and needs to keep the ball down so he needs to be tired.Plus his record at the stadium is much better
God I hate the Red Sux

I no longer talk baseball at this time of year. It's so...hard.

That would make one hell of a boring series

I'm just tired of all the Yankees and Red Sox talk of being in the World Series. I just want new teams in it. The Rockies have never been there and Cleveland hasn't been there in a while.

Cleveland has been there more in the last 30 years then the sox who just have 2 appearances.
I wish the sox bandwagoners would find a new team. They are thoroughly anoying. I almost like it better prior to 2004 we were a hard luck but more respected fan base.
Anyway, here's to Borowski f'n it up for the Indians in the ALCS as he certainly appears to be the weak link.

Wait, the team with the lowest batting average in the NL getting this far is boring? I must be watching the wrong sport. GO D'BACKS!!!
Bonger wrote:I am not a huge NL fan, but the stroylines with the dbacks and rockies this year make the NLCS almost as entertaining as the slugging and pitching are going to be in the ALCS.
One team has one 18 of 19, and grabbed the WC in a one game play off. The other statistically should be in last place, and yet is in first. Boggles the mind.
Beckett vs Sabathia. Tonight is going to be awesome!
