Its one of the best comedy adult cartoons out there! And they've had alot of other guest stars on that show too Snoop Dogg, Xzibit, etc.

Well, I was able to watch about 3 minutes of it.
The repeat of the n-word was a huge turn-off. I highly doubt I'll be able to get into it.

I know I'm going to be called a racist, but I can't stand the show because of the overtones centered on being a black gansta. I can't stand rap/hip hop or the language that tends to be used in those, so this show comes off as a 30 minute rap video. I love good comedy but the show definitely was made for the black community.

Uhh, To be honest I've always considered The Boondocks to be mocking black/gangsta culture.

But I guess I'm the only one to see it that way

That's essentially what it is. The creator has stated he likes to address the problems of both the majority and the minority that hinder the forwarding of black integration and elevation.

Honestly it wouldn't matter which direction they were trying to take. It still annoys and insults my ears. I feel like I get stupider when I watch that show.

I doubted the show would be any good, than I saw an episode and it wasn’t quite what I expected it to be, I look forward to it when it is airing.

Do I think it is the best thing they have ever aired? No, although the humor in the show is funny, Mobile suit Gundam is truly the best thing CN has aired, ever.

Boondocks mocks pretty much any group of people it can lay its hands on. Its emphasis on urban black gangsta culture only exists to further illustrate the contrasts between Huey and Riley. Riley is the more wild gangsta kid, while Huey looks past that culture, drawing from a rich history, and looking for a better future. It's a question every black man has to answer, are you gonna be a Huey or a Riley?

Then again, black, white, red, or yellow, it's a choice we all have to make.

Or maybe I'm putting way too much thought into this. It is, after all, just a cartoon, and from the same network that gave us Robot Chicken and Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

Personally I love the show, yes there are images and words that are not pleasant in this world but almost any show is like that these days.

Is South Park or Drawn together any different ? not to me.
Here is part of the problem, either we allow all of it or BAN all of it and become an even more censored McCarthy era styled society.

I think a certain amount of "censorship" or boundaries is ok, I don't want to see a 5 year old watching shows like that and even shows like the Simpsons with the political humor and other statements like Homer saying "But we didn't even make whoopie or even mouth whoopie" when he was talking about his other wife when he got drunk in vegas and him and ned flanders got married to those two floosies.
People let their kids watch these shows just because they are animated and cartoons not doing the least bit of research as to the subject matter so 5 minutes on the internet or making a phone call could solve that easily.

These shows have been doing this for a long time now to push the envelope and make them edgy if one is not trying to out due each other all the time then they become too stale for the viewers.
I will agree with the statements that it's the context that words are used in is what really draws the line and the "N" word like every other word in the english language has multiple meanings too.

"A low down dirty person" is one example of a definition of the word so technically it can apply to anyone or any race if used in that context, unfortunately it has been labeled at some point in the past to apply mostly to the african american culture and THAT is where it is wrong and ignorant.

When used in the context of an entire race or culture then that is when it is used in a negative,stereotypical,condescending manor and that is what makes the person a racist, fear,intolerance and ignorance is what drives these thoughts and things people say.

There are too many negative words or labels or stereotypes to describe all people of this planet and sadly they won't just go away over night and there is no easy solution.
