Optimus Convoy wrote:My NES was never the trusty steed your folks' seemed to be. A lot of the time, my NES would flash different colours on the screen a lot of the time, or the power button would just flash on and off, while nothing came on the screen. I thought most Nintendos were like that, but I guess I was wrong. I never had a problem with all the other Nintendo consoles I own, though, which is all of them. Nintendo's great.
The Happy Locust wrote:My NES survived quite a few beatings. One especially was when my dog got caught on the controller and tried to pull away. She brought the system crashing down from the shelf. The Locking portion of the cartridge slot (on the original models) never worked after that. I usually had to put in a 2nd cartridge to keep the first one down. Eventually, I just kept my Game Genie in at all times.
