IGN.com has posted an article that reveals the leaked achievements for the upcoming Halo 3 game.

Disappointingly, it seems there are only 9 missions in the whole game! And the skulls are back. I hated those in Halo 2. Most of them where either useless or made the game harder. And it's such a pain in the ass to get "bigger explosions", "exploding kills", and "infinite invisiblity" with them.

Most of the achievements seem pretty easy. All stuff I've done in Halo 2 at one point or another. The only 1 I'm worried about is "22. Spartan Program Recruit-Win your first game in matchmaking to sign up for the Spartan Program (Online).". If you lose your very first match, then you get screwed out of this achievement? No, that would be stupid. As stupid as having an achievement where you have to kill every gang member in Co-op in a game where you can't restart the game at the beginning....
They must mean you get that achievement for your first win. Doesn't have to be first match ever, just your first win.

As long as the levels are loooooong I won't care if there are only 9. Hell that was about how many there were in the first two right? And both of those took me a good 15 hours to beat.

And yeah that achievement just means that once you win a game in matchmaking you become a Spartan recruit. To avoid confusion it should say "Win a single game in matchmaking to sign up for the Spartan Program (Online)."

I'm glad that a lot of them can be completed in Campaign as well. I just know I'm going to hate the multiplayer in this one as much as I did in the second so this will be a relief.
