Ewww...I'm more of a J Crew kind of girl. As for the girls, they can dress like that after they have a few kids... Listen to me and my college-aged, already-a-mom commentary. Sigh.

That's why I duel enrolled/AP'd my courses. I came to college with 58 credits, and only 3 general education classes left before hardcore major work.

If you can duel enroll with a local community/real college and/or take AP or IB tests, I would. They can come in handy.

Huh... most of the colleges I'm applying to say they don't take more than 18-or-so.

Huh. That's really weird. I guess it just depends on where you apply.

I have no idea what that means, but i hear you on the being rude. Furthermore, if you aren't there to learn and think the professor is gonna pass you based on attendance...get the **** out.

Thank you so much for expressing my opinions for me.

ALREADY A MOM COMMENTARY, hell, Im going as vicarious vistitor. Still, I was looking at it from the guys point of veiw. The girls always did better when outing.

Again as a visitor I don't know if this is always the case. But they did dress up for me cause I could get toilet paper and somehow that was astounding to people smoking high grade pot :???:

REALY, IS IT THAT VALUABLE? $.59 A ROLL, PICK SOME UP!

As for the 10 year old PJs from the unquoted thread, I feel we need a pick. Come on it'l be one of those fun things like back in the day, and give you less of a hang over than a keg stand

I went to a college with 5:1 Male:Female ratio. Barring presentation day, the girls that dressed sexy to go to class weren't taken very seriously. Sorority girls in general really.

And pony tails are hot.

Well admittedly they're all very high-end (avg $40,000 a year), which probably means they'll be milking me (meaning my parents) for as much as possible.

And, after going to a schools where ponytails and beards (for men) are taboo for about a decade now, I'll honestly say not getting hastled for longer locks sounds like a blessing.

I don't know - I think maybe I like them because I'm a sucker for the midwestern girl-next-door look. Which is almost antithetical to taboo.

Edit: And the other plus to pony tails: they show off the neck.

If there were a ban on ponytails I would just have to shave my head. I have long hair and it drives me crazy to just have it draped over my shoulders.

The sad thing is, this sweatpants thing is just related to age, I think. Army guys wear them on their time off, and army wives must buy them in bulk. Ick.

$20 an hour? That's a pretty sweet deal. If you work 40 hours a week (Which is pretty average, only eight hours a day, the typical "Nine-toFive" job), that's a little over $38000 a year. Poverty level is only about $12000 for one person living alone.

Being in the army, we just get salary. We get paid whether my husband works or not. This comes in handy during our month's work of vacation a year (if he's not deployed). Unfortunately, he doesn't get any overtime, which sucks because he often works long, long hours. While the base pay sucks, they make up for it with full coverage health insurance. :D

If I had just known what I wanted to do and finished college, I'd be making some real money now. At the time I had no direction. I'd tell anyone starting college to figure out what the hell they want to do so they don't waste their time.

I've been to college.

Good times.

I've been considering, since I have my Masters degree, requiring people to call me 'Master...' as part of my title.

Someone give me a 'Master Counterpunch'. Let me try it on for size.

Ah, the commoners...

You may always trust a peasant over a nobleman you know... The nobleman is ambitious. The peasant only wants to eat. In other words, the nobleman has betrayal in his blood while the peasant only wishes not to be betrayed.

Peasants do not understand what it means to be a soldier. They do not understand bushido. To them, our ways are foreign ways. They are a simple people and will never understand us. Alienation causes fear.

This is how revolts are formed my friend. Not among lieutenants, but among farmers. For every twenty samurai there are two hundred farmers. Two hundred angry men – be they farmers or samurai – are an army.

Inform the commoners that all the provisions they require are located just inside our neighboring country's borders. Of course, anything they find or win, is theirs to keep.

Okay, but in the sense that they're armed, I'm going to have my assistant Steve do it.

I will be glad to be getting out of college. I graduate later this month with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Get to move from a job that pays $9/hr to one that pays $70k/yr. I have been going to school long enough.

Good luck at college.

Depending one your major, the courses could be rigorous and the nights could may long and sleepless. It will certainly be worth it in the end though.

Again, I wish you the best.
