Jazz was getting squashed by Megatron, Ironhide was doing that spinning missile launch, Ratchet wasn't in it.

Ratchet's in it. Like split second briefly, but he's in it.

Yeah, Ratchet get knocked over when Starscream jumps in the air, transforms and takes off. He's on the left, Prime is on the right.

Actually, that's Ironhide. (I had to doublecheck to make sure.)

That's because it's Ironhide coming out of the pool in his protoform mode. I think the red was a placeholder.

It seems that the Autobots have blue eyes now and the Decepticons have red eyes. If that's the case, then that would be one in the plus side for fans. I've always been a huge fan of the eyes being faction specific for the most part (yes, I know there are many exceptions).

yup i looked at the other trailer and his eyes were red. i guess they changed it.

That character. That's Jazz, right? It's been driving me nuts for months, and given the colour of his parts and the size of him, it has to be Jazz.

The more I listen to the transforming sound, the more it grows on me. watching this trailer finally warmed me up to the new designs all the way as well, to the point that I’m disappointed the toys don't stay more true to their film designs (obviously this can't necessarily be done due to intricacies)

bottom line i can't wait!

Not 100% on this, but I'm pretty sure I read, from someone who had read the script, that the pool 'bot was protoform Ironhide.

The action is going to be great, but every trailer has confirmed to me that seeing these things in motion won't improve disappointing design work, they're too interchangeable.

Well, to add my .02 cents to the Great Pool Protoform Debate:

I'm thinking it is Jazz. It's too small and the wrong color for Ironhide. I'm going on my gut here.

After looking at Ryan's images in another thread, looks like either protoform Ironhide or protoform Jazz. Has to be one of them. Ironhide just seems to big to be in a pool. Just after having read about the Autobots being near Sam's house, I thought that shot must have been around then, but if that's a protoform now it looks like it's from a lot earlier.

I'm with LuckyheWonderLlama, I'm saying Jazz.

Finally able to stop pressing the replay button long enough to at least post it's an awesome trailer.

Now if I can just find some non-preview movie figures to tie me over till 7.4.7, I'll be set.

Script-really bad
Trailer-well done
Action-awesome!
Special Effects- AMAZING!! WOW!

There is the breakdown.

How do you know if the script is bad, you havnt even seen the movie yet.

Because it's been carried on the wind to all the corners of the Earth by now?

I think Tile has it right... you're all getting suckered in by choice action scenes tossed into a 2 1/2 minute trailer.
Still too much damn "people" goin' on in that trailer, if you ask me.

Really am hating these designs. Scorponok's a freaking mess. All I see is shards of metal... shards, EVERYWHERE.
And not REAL metal, unconvincing CGI metal, as seen in Terminator 3 and most movies where metal shows up.

Don't get me wrong, there's action goin' on too. And action done well is good for a summer movie. You know, something for the kiddies out of school to remember and get their blood flowing.

But to call it Transformers... I haven't seen anything yet, like at all, to even begin going there.
So Optimus is a truck, so he made that sound over top of a whirring sound.
It's not nearly enough.

I'd love to be squirting bodily fluids all over the walls as much as you all mostly are, but... meh?
I'm just seein' a ton of people mixed in with incomprehensible CGI gobbledygook with no solid form.
:?

EDIT: Notice also that not ONE DAMN TRANSFORMER SPOKE.
That's just depressing to me, even if it's a trailer.

Unless the script changed drastically (and so far it seems like it hasn't), Ironhide is the proto coming out of the pool.

After watching it for a third time. Only Prime had the classic sound and it was tacked on right at the end. For the most part it is more whirring and clicking. Could be they decided to tack that into Prime purely as one small bone to the G1 fans that have been so vocal about this movie for the last 2 years.

I just saw it two minutes ago.

I am near (EDIT: IN) tears. Perhaps Spielberg's hand was in this thing afterall?

This may just be the robo-carnage I was praying for.

I WILL now see it opening night, work schedule be damned!

Let's hope there is an awesome story in there also...

Again, I am near (EDIT: IN) tears.

This may just be what we have waited for since 1984.

And I think the retro TF sound intgegrated into the regular clicking and whirring is the fan service I have been BEGGING FOR in his film. Hope it stays.

And Starscream looks F@#$ing AWESOME!!!!!

Go see it on a weekday afternoon about a week or two after the openning. The most pleasant movie going experience you can ever have.

At least short of seeing a Star trek movie on openning night. Just something about those fans that makes openning night actually fun. No goofy costumes no annoying talker. You get to sit with 500 people all talking Trek right up until the trailers start than absolute quite for 90+ minutes. Great crowd. People that know how to go to the movies. Would never do it at any other movie though.

if I do it, I probably will do a matenee, likely a tuesday if htey still have the special. my husband is on vacation during that time. I hate hate hate paying for movies, but someone told me they were much cheaper now, being like 10 bucks not the 15 or so they were.
