As for the whole "1987 cartoon vs. 2003 cartoon" deal, check out this YouTube guy comparing concepts from both series to each other and deciding which versions of each he likes better.
Part 1-1: Introduction and history
Part 1-2: Round 1 - Theme Songs, Round 2 - Action, Round 3 - Comedy
Part 2-1: Round 5 - The Turtles (disregard Round 4)
Part 2-2: Round 6 - Supporting Characters
Part 2-3: Round 6 continued
Part 3-1: Round 7 - The Villains
Part 3-2: Round 7 continued
Part 3-3: Round 7 continued
Part 3-4: Round 7 continued (not on YouTube, but still the same guy)
Part 4 isn't done yet, he says, but it should be coming soon.

Wrong. They are not the same at all. Completely different continuities. It's like if G1 met RiD, or Armada, or Animated.shortround wrote:I thought the 80's turtles and 2003 to present turtles were the same just older so it makes no sense since if they met wouldn't they just destroy each other in that all to familar time paradox were two being can't live in the same time at the same place without destroying each other.
