It kind of made America NOT look so bad in everyone's eyes around the world....when you Brits were attacked back in July 2005, it was a huge story here as well, and I kept myself glued to the tv in horror over it.
Ditto.
Our two countries in particular are tied very closely, especially in later years.
2005..that was the tunnel and bus bombs wasn't it?

I'm fine with people remembering their loss. I however completely hate how your grieve is apparantly so important that is has to be on the news throughout the whole world every year again and again.
Stop feeling so damn important yank.GetterDragun wrote:Spoon wrote:Surely these 3000 americans mean a whole load more then all those thousands of chinese people that die in the mines every year. But those aren't getting a remorial every year that's on the news in the whole world.

So you think you can counterbalance it by making obnoxious comments? And seriously, tough that it is plastered on your TV, the world is dependant on us. The reason most people hate America is because we haven't done enough for them. Start fending for your self then if you dont like it. We didn't ask your local TV to put it on the news, your news felt it was important enough to put on the news that day or had nothing better going on in the postage stamp sized country to make news of. And oh yea, China doesn't really care much for human rights, so why doesn't your country make a big deal about it? I guess they are waiting for US to do it right?
And seriously, if you are going to make comments like you did, you should really think about saying it to someones face and not over a computer. It's funny how opinions can change when you are standing in front of someone you are commenting on. I'm tired of people using the Internet as their personal rant place because they don't have the courage to do it in person.

True
but...The people who were killed that day were forgotten
There are bodies still trapped in the Arizona and after 60 some odd years there is oil still leaking out of it
Because it was 6 years or 60 years don't forget the dead or treat these incidents as if there insignificant .....

Also, yay for generic assumptions about courage, Anonymous, Internet and such. I bloody would say it someone's face if it wasn't for the fact most of you guys are living couple of thousand Km's away. You are of course free to take a plane and travel here, i'll gladly say "Stop feeling so bloody important you stupid yank" in your face right there and then.

Hearing the horror from Stern and his crew and watching it on tv was surreal.
