I really wish I could just by the Takara Tomy Motormaster, that's the only one that's clearly superior to the Hasbro version (IMO). I like that his truck mode has an added set of "windows" painted on top and that the bot mode is largely black with "windows" painted into his lower legs. I bet someone at Reprolabels will make truck details for his feet.

I don't think Dragstrip will look that bad in person. If you look closely you can see where he's actually two shade of yellow to break things up. It's lost in the smaller shots, but in the close up of the car mode you can see the difference in colors easier.

I just wish these weren't coming out the same month as BLUEstreak and the Arcee rerelease.

Found a good translation of his bio:

A mysterious warrior resembling the Autobot supreme commander Convoy. It is able to transcend space and time and has set its sight on the myriad Convoys and Optimus Primes of the multiverse. In addition to its own atrocious unmatched combat capabilities, it is also able to force combinations - controlling warriors or drones with the ability to combine literally as easily as he does his own limbs. The large, scarlet blade it wields, the "Matrix Breaker" is not only an instrument of physical destruction but is also said to be capable of severing the bond between the Autobot supreme commanders and their Matrices of Leadership.

He basically sounds like the same kind of character as DOTM Darkside Optimus Prime, with the addition of being able to force others to combine with him.

And it's cool how the bio both includes and distinguishes "Convoys" and "Optimus Primes".

I was going to say some nice things, but its already had too much of that

I actually like the Prime/Motormaster mold. Its not bad. Its not optimal, but its not bad. This is a good repaint. I really like the look of the combiner and I may have to order this just for that. I don't have a scourge so this will be a great edition. I really hope they get some good variety of limbs coming out.

But really, it aint the worst Prime.

Well, for the people who wondered if/how TakaraTomy was gonna release CW Optimus Prime, there's your answer :lol:

Him being Grand Scourge, as in a specific black clone, should come as no real surprise as CW Optimus Prime had some cues from Energon and Grand Scourge came from Superlink, the Japanese version of that particular line.

He looks good, and the giant cleaver is icing on the cake. Now we really need figures of his drones. We have Alpha Bravo already, so...

I've been resisting that Elite Guard black first edition Prime (TF:Prime) for some time, and will continue to do so until there is a proper Nemesi/Scourge release! Grrr.

Seriously... Why did the lesser PRID Optimus have to get the Nemesis treatment? :-(
