Okay let me start from the beginning:

Last year i wasnt in the school do to psychical problems cause my parents splitted up.

Now i am in the end of 8th grade, and my problem is the sport-lessons! ... I dont wanna be a part of them so i sneak off everytime and run home ...
Well now there is only 6 school days left before the summer-holiday, my 'friends' is wondering why i am sneaking off every time, they told me that it would be good to actually see me in the sport-lesson.
But i dont want to! People can be so cruel when it comes to sport, the change there minds and become Terrorcons

...

Today ... well actually im not in school today doing this dilema ... in 9th Grade i have to do the sport-leasons to avoid problems from my teachers.

I just had to write this sorry . :-(

Call me whatever name you want, but suck it up and do the sports.

I never liked 'em in high school and did the same thing you did (though I just went elsewhere in the school grounds).

But I tell you what, it took me a few years after I left high school to realise the benefits of being active so now i'm a regular gym goer. But my years of not being very active in high school have left a lasting impact.

I disagree with you Burn, it's not a simple matter of 'being active'. If this kid is bad at sports, then those lessons can really make him feel like ****. They always involve teamwork, and his lack of skill is more obvious than other classes. That, coupled with the fact that no one really cares if you're bad at maths, but will give you hell for being bad at sports (especially if they feel he'll cause their team to lose) makes what he's doing somewhat understandable.

I have two suggestions: practice outside of school, or fake some kind of injury/physical disorder. Look up Osgood Schlatter disorder. That works a treat! (I actually had that when I was going through puberty, so I couldn't do sports even though I quite liked it

)

Well, I just got of 9th grade on tuesday and boy does gym class suck. Every day for one semester gets old. I kinda just showed up . I do think it is fun telling off jocks after the they yell for not catching the ball.

I'll be an 11th grader in August, and I've never done sports. I gained a bunch of weight after that too. Bad idea. Good thing I burned off that weight now. I'm athletic and I have alot more energy. Gym class is fun and amazing compared to 6-9 grade.

My suggestion would be that you don't have to do sports if you don't want to, but at least get into some sort of extracurricular activity. And mabye go do some strenuous activity to burn off those pounds. :DANCE:

I agree with Burn. Suck it up. I'm one of the most uncoordinated people you will ever meet. I'm slow and chunky. But guess what? I took Gym anyways. So what if you make an ass out of yourself? You'll quickly learn once you graduate that highschool ranking of others means jack ****. Plus the exercise is good for you. It irritated the Hell out of me when people would get excuses from their parents so they wouldn't have to take Gym. They would just sit there on the stage and do nothing. I'd rather have people know I suck at a sport then have them know I'm an antisocial couch potato.

well i just graduated HS. and i was active in every sport my coach put me in. if your bad in sports just keep on practicing. theres got to be at least a sport that you might be good at. the sport i really enjoy playin in PE was football. and now since iam out iam going to sign up for brazilian jiu jitsu cause i love the MMA(mixed martial arts) sport than any other sport. heck its better than any sport out there. if you dont know what MMA and if you watch spike and see UFC adds, thats MMA. what exactly is MMA? different styles fighting one an other. karate vs boxing, wrestling vs jiu jitsu. stuff like that.

Ah good ol' gym class! I could never win either way! people picked on me because I was no-good whatsoever at football/basketball/etc. One thing I particularly enjoyed was how people would accuse me of trying to be just like Michael Jordan whenever I attempted to play a legitimate game of basketball! I can clearly recall one girl in particular yelling out "He swear he think he Jordan!" when I passed the ball through my legs when faking someone out... LIKE EVERYONE ELSE ON THE TEAM DOES!

Football follies are numerous as well! If I didn't pass the ball correctly then a huge douche who's name will not be disclosed here would yell something about how he hated honkeys (Racist much?) He was also a lot bigger than me and from what I could see, was also pretty unstable! So I left the guy alone!

But I can clearly see where this guy is coming from, if you can't play a sport right, there is always at least one person on the field that will make it his/her solemn duty to make sure you know it, and feel like **** over it! Burn is right, the best thing you can do is just wait it out until the semester is over! And who knows? You might just find your medium!

Ahhh, sport... It was good fun until my teacher wanted me to change out of it, because I was messing around too much. But I started to behave like a good boy.

I'm sure you're not that bad at sports. Just relax and try to enjoy yourself. That way, you'll loosen up a little, making it easier for yourself. You won't be able to play well if you're nervous!

I hated gym too. What made it particularly bad is that I'm dyspraxic, so no matter how much I practiced I was never going to get good at it. Like Tweezer said there was the one guy who made it his business to single out everone who was bad at sports, the gym teacher. He was an absolute ****. I still hate sports to this day and view them as the refuge for people whos bodies are far, far stronger than their minds.

It was one of the few classes I actually enjoyed... At least it didn't required me to think or do homework.

I always considered sports to be the easy way for getting high marks in one area, to keep the grade average on a good level.

Just do the bloody sports class, it can be pretty fun (if you're not a physical wreck).

Eh, could be worse. For some crazy reason when I took gym in high school we spent several weeks learning how to square dance. It was pretty fun when I wasn't involved, though, because me & a few buddies would be over in a corner head-banging to the music. Good times, good times.

Anywho, yeah, just suck it up. Who cares if people are making fun of you? They'll probably end up being wannabe losers anyway. Not only that, but it won't last forever. Soon school will be nothing but a memory, & you'll have a whole new group of guys that'll put you down for something else. But that's life. Just learn to suck it up, & let stuff like this roll off your back & not bother you.
