I'm doing an X.I hope Fortmax won't have any electronic gimmicks! Working gimmicks like ramp compartments, launchers, levers, pulleys or elevators fine (as a Fortress) Just no electronics.........PLEASE!
Back to the present fiction. Somehow, prior to the Titans scale, IDW laid down the foundation for Metroplex. What about Fortmax? Last I red he was a "warden" and new Tyrest Accords enforcer (correct me please if I'm wrong)
So how are they,IDW, gonna shoe horn the "character" into being a "fortress",headmaster.....will he also be the leader of the headmaster subgroup?
I still preferred him to being an architect (seems like architects and engineers make good killing machine Titans/combiners) in his old bio.

Probably like in Combiner Wars, where some ancient relic gifts Transformers super size and base modes. *shrug*

Reason why I'm pushing this is how creative TT did with Grand Galvatron. Somehow, fitting Galvatron's return between his death and resurrection as Super Megatron. Giving a product a proper back story for use "grown ups" really enhances the "buy me factor".
Original headmaster in the US version was to increase the Autobot's fighting skills (similar to Rebirth) and put the alien robot's under "human control". Even both Tomy and Hb UM had a good back story.
Also, how/where the Primus did Fort get that big@zz sword? Who's he gonna slice it with? Will the "truce"/peace between the 'cons be broken?
And no electronics!

Probally, like Combiner Wars, Hasbro will force IDW to shoehorn it in, regardless of fit. I really don't care, as long as they once again leave MTMTE alone.

I had to buy those two separate for my USA G1 Fortmax.
I'm hoping the big head is still named Cerebros. considering in the comics they have made a point of saying he is with fort Max one would hope
ah but what's Cerebros head called? coz it was Spike in the american cartoon! & i believe Fort Max in the Takara Headmasters cartoon!

iirc, the reason they called LeBeef's character in the movies 'Sam Witwicky' was because they can't secure spike as a trademark.
He's probably going to be called something completely made up.

I just assumed that it was because while you could just about getting away with Spike as the kid's name in a cartoon, it's less plasible in a live-action movie set in a more 'realistic' world. I know his folks were kooky (especially his mother) but I don't think they'd name a kid 'Spike'.
By the way, the earlier discussion about that Grimlock/Prime two pack? Just ordered from The Entertainer on their eBay listing for £17.49 plus £2.99 postage.

They could name cerebos mini head Fortess after his name in the headmasters cartoon.
I wonder if Takara are already looking at new designs for a pretender shell to go along with this
..Though I can't wait to see what they'll do with fort anyway!

doubtful if they'll go that far with a Pretender Shell! + can't remember if the shell featured on the Headmasters show or not? but obviously there was a toy, speaking of things that may or may not have appeared on the show but obviously had a toy made is Gasket & Grommet! dunno if they'll include those too....with this new Fort Max? the obvious solution would probably be(seeing as this Max is basically a reuse of the Generations Metroplex mold....albeit with retools/repaints ect) Scamper repainted as Cog.

Nice snag! I paid retail for that and only display the Grimlock and I'm still happy with it. He suffers a little bit from giganto chest(and mondo gecko tail) but he looks incredible at the proper angles regardless.

The Shell came with Grand Maximus, which is what I was alluding to. He was in super God masterforce, appearing briefly to aid in fighting black zarak in the moon. He did use the shell briefly in his appearance.

Yeah I don't like his dino mode at all but the robot mode is mostly fine and will suffice. I just wanted a good affordable G1-esque robot Grimmy to pose with my AoE Voyager Grimmy (who at the moment has stolen the dual red swords from a constructbot megatron). The incredibly chromey deluxe Prime is to roll about on my desk and pose and play with while I'm struggling with game development issues.

Am looking forward to receiving them.

aye but this is Hasbro remember! you can't expect them to include every nuance! + the Cerebros pretender shell came with Grand Maximus was the Takara version of Fort Max! now....a Takara version of this new Fort Max could always include a Pretender Shell for Cerebros! but just don't expect that with the Hasbro version.

I never said hasbro though with regards to the pretender shell I always said Takara, and it's not a case of just putting a pretender shell with fort but them releasing a Grand Maximus and if they were feeling really crazy, a redco as Brave Maximus.

I am nervous to even mention this as people seem to get testy about getting Titan Master versions of characters that were not Headmasters back in the day but this is purely a flight of fancy so everybody chill.
The G1 Grimlock had that cockpit thing on his back, a holdover from the Diaclone version, right so I was imagining a new Titan Master Grimlock that can store it's Titan Master in a similar cockpit in Beast Mode. Name the Titan Master Magnus/Magnos or Rex or something else kingly.
Now if Hasbro wanted to squeeze as much money out of this newly created Grimlock mold as they can, and we know that they do, then they could release a Blue Generation 2 version down the line.
I suppose they could also do a green version in honor of RiD and then if they really, really wanted to I suppose they could release a purple version with a new Titan Master (This time called Darksyde or something)and slap on some Predacon logos for a timely Beast Wars Megatron homage.
Okay I am done and ready to be scolded.
