yeah... but how does that work exactly?

Pretty simple. If you dual wield without enough skill, your attacks suffer a penalty. -x for primary, -y (double x for 0-1 skill perhaps) for secondary/off hand. The penalty can be in the to hit, or damage, or perhaps both. Hard-mount weapons would require strength to equip, since -most- (not all, just most) are larger weapons and have more weight to them then just a blaster rifle, and if they're a secondary weapon, skill would effect them just like it would for dual wielding. It's a proven system, I'm just swapping skill for a feat.

spose, i just don't see any inherent advantage over the current system, i've always imaggined that as STR boosts all weapon damage for the non-melee weapons it just allowed your TF to carry more "booster packs" or "Batteries" or "turbo chargers" (you get the idea) for his gun

and in this game why on earth would you not Hardmount?

So... good idea?

There's several transformers with hard-mount weapons. Megatron, Hot Rod, Sideswipe and his repaints, Soundwave, Roadbuster, Prowl and his repaints. And those are just some of the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

um no, not good idea.

good fluff, but think of it in a numbercrunching, you can either get a weapon that is boosted by your STR or not, why the hell aren't you gonna get the boost?

at present AZ STR boosts all weapons, having it boost some and not others pretty consigns all the ones you can't hardmount to scrap heap, unles those weapons get a huge boost elsewhere to compesate they're lack of STR boosting

and almost all TFs have hardmounted weapons even if they're lasers coming out of they're headlights or some such other nonsense

I think I made a mistake in my writing. I'm not saying str should or shouldn't effect the damage on hard-mounted weapons, I'm saying it should effect the ability to use them.
