who likes the seekers

There is more to Transformers than movies, cartoons, comics and toys. Discuss anything else Transformers here.

Damolisher wrote:I'm not deriding anything, I'm just getting pissed off with you thinking everything Dreamwave does automatically makes it the official whatever. What, so since Hasbro use "Constructicon Devastator" that automatically means Devastator isn't the name of the Constructicons' combined form anymore? Because they use Micromasters, that makes him the new Devastator. AH-AH! (/Stone Cold Steve Austin) WRONG! You love cherry pickin' don'tcha?

The term "Constructicon" Devastator, is simply a title before the name of the character, like "Autobot" Jazz, "Autobot" Ratchet, or "Decepticon" Brawl. It was the only way to secure the Trademark on the name for the toy. The name of the character is still Devastator. The use of the word "Constructicon" before the name is an identifier for trademarking, nothing more.

Secondly, there is no reason for you to get so pissed off because I maintain the Dreamwave continuitiy as the main continuity, especially since the Ultimate Guide does as well. That is where all of what the Ultimate Guide used as the main-line continuity came from, since it was written by Simon Furman, who worked on War Within an other DW TF material along with Brad Mick, who wrote the ongoing series. It addressed all the others as well, but the main continuity came from Dreamwave. You are getting worked up over a comic book Damilisher. Chill out. You can disagree with me all you want. I don't care. Just chill out and stop taking it so personally. Whether I choose to maintain the claim that DW is the difinitve G1 continuity has no effect on your life. It's not the end of the world, so, please chill out.

actually i think they need a boxing ring?

sorry my mistake, these ladies need a mud pit!

As far as the tetrajet mode is concerned, have thought that maybe starscream, thundercracker and skywarp doe have different transform sequences, but the same alt mode, but th seekers arent unified until the creation of megatrons seeker drone army in WW vol 3!

The reason they turn into an argument is that you think everything Dreamwave writes applies to everything, and that they're able to rewrite already established facts, such as the SEKKERS HAVING IDENTICAL TRANSFORMATIONS. OK, what is with your fetish for realism? It's not real. It is a bloody work of fiction. The Space Bridge is impossible to execute in real life too. Time travel, impossible. Planet made entirely of metal, impossible. Mass-Shifting, impossible.

Actualy, Megatron's mass-shifting isn't imposible. Acording to the theory of relitivity, mass can be converted into energy adn vice versa. Given that Megatron is conected to a black hole, he can either dump mass/ energy into it (robot to gun) or draw mass/energy from it (gun to robot). It's possible, just not easy.

An artificial planet isn't impossible either. Just build it out side of the gavity well of the solar system and move it into orbit when youe'r done. It would end up acting like a captured roug planet, and in Beast Wars (which is a continuation of the G1 continuity) we see Siebertron DOSE have an iregular orbit. Once again, possible, just not easy.

The Space Bridge and time travel though, impossible acording to cerent science. Still cool, though.

Ah, you can feel the love between Tramp and Damolisher.

I like the seekers. And that includes the Coneheads.

Starscream is my favourite characterwise.
Skywarp has the best colourscheme.
Dirge is the best conehead. That is mainly due to my brother owning a Dirge as the only con toy, so he was the only one we had when I was young. Even though we both called him Starscream. And mistransformed him into Starscream.

Anyone noticed that the G1 Dirge figure has properly placed wings for the flathead seekers if you flip them upside down? They looked better up behind his shoulders.

Though my fav conehead is now threatened by Ramjet, for his classic figure.

I read Tramp's and Demolishers fight (I hope I spelled that right my apologies if I didn't.)I seriously don't think that this is their first fight.I personally agree with Demolisher...but Tramp I do see your point but I've been in a quarrel with Demolisher too but it wasn't this bad it was WAY smaller than this and really I woundn't say it really was much of a quarrel because I remembered that Transformers is just all fiction. We had a fight on if transfomers could be organic or not but that was a while back(oh gosh when was that...)I personally like G1 the best but that doesn't mean everyone else will agree with me :) .Sigh I just hope that your little spat with Demolisher is over  :PEACE:

"Flathead Seekers" is a good term for them you have thought up :D So there is "Flathead Seekers" and "Conehead Seekers." Yup, that'll work for me :P

I am a person who loves the G1 cartoon, but I think that the WW Cybertronian Jet mode would work a bit better. I imagine when they got "reformatted" by Teletraan -1, that it was a kind of major surgery, and Teletraan -1 picked the Earth mode that their bodies most resembled physically, in order to minimize any physical stress on them.

actually, WW Thundercracker, Starscream and Skywarp all had similar alt. modes but all 3 of them had different transformations due to some differences in their robot mode. Same for Bluestreak/Silverstreak and Prowl. So i agree with what Zombie Starscream said in the last post.

And in my opinion, the WW designs are better, as they actually work and toys can be accurately made based on their depiction, which is highly unlikely if you used the ones shown in G1. So basically, everyone is entitled to their own views....

ugh. do I want to get into this?

I like the newer designs better. The Cybertron Starscream (the TRU vs Vector Prime version) I have and the Titanium's look really cool, but when I think of a Cybertronian jet, I think of the tetrajet design from MTMTE. I can't think of any way that would work except by involving movie-style total rebuilding of panels and stuff. Like everything, its subjective and really up to each of us which we think of as the proper version.

edit: I do have something I like about the seekers from the cartoon that I hadn't thought of before. It is kinda annoying, but very cool how they all have the ability to change colour at will.

assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

Hey I finaly saw the G1 episode where all the Decepticons over energise (another fancy word for giant robots getting drunk)...It bothered me because Starscream was...how do I put this...smart? He was a genious! It made him more cute :x but it creeped me out (even though when I was half asleep when I was watching it).

I for one think Armada Starscream was pretty cute :x except for the fact his voice sounded like he had swallowed a gallon of gravel...and that he didn't have his G1 seeker feet...Otherwise I thought he was pretty cool especially when he busted out his sword thingy =P~
