I'd like to see someone like Hound or Mirage take his place, I feel as if they have more character to them, Jazz was always Prime's right hand man though so it's wierd him not being there, they could always repair him back.

Hmm..Jazz coming back as a evil ghost? I like this idea better.

Jazz comes back but instead of being good he gets infected by the most evil, henious, terrible no good being of all time...O'Malley from Red vs Blue, his evil cackle would make a Transformer go into stasis lock.

Actually..I could see a Red vs Blue Transformers style.

hey guys, on the subject of whether jazz was too black, in G1 he was voiced by Scatman Crothers, who was BLACK. also keep in mind during the 80s crappy rock'n'roll was the dominant culture. now, it's more hip hop. Bay was simply going with the dominant culture of the time, as would Jazz, so i can't really fault Bay here either.

i liked Jazz in the movie because he was an acrobat and could fight up close and personal. i'd have liked to see him go up against Barricade

Acrobat? Fight? THey acctually had Jazz do something besides Transform say 1 line and drive around in alt mode just to get ripped in half? I musta missed his fighting then.

jazz was described as the acrobatic fighter of the group. the way he flipped and jumped off the bridge when Prime said, "Autobots, relieve them of their weapons." the guy loves to jump. so yes i'd describe him as an acrobat as much as transformers can be acrobatic.

as for Jazz fighting, somebody needed to cover the retreat, and as 2nd in command I guess Jazz took it upon himself. i'm an army infantryman so i should know. you don't take off all at once....that's a BAD idea and your enemies would just pounce on you. you cover one another as you fall back. clearly Ratchet and Ironhide didn't finish Autobot Army basic training as they didn't bother to COVER Jazz when he needed cover. moreover, it has been said elsewhere that Jazz sacrificed himself to buy others time...not sure how valid this is, but i can buy that.

As 2nd in command he probably should have said "you know, I think heading into a highly populated city where the Decepticons are liable to catch up with us is a VERY bad idea"

But he didn't.
And now he's dead.

Wow burn...We finally agree on something...Who in their right minds would send a dozen or so heavily armed biological robots with an obvious east coast, west coast beef to a heavily populated city? But then again…that wasn’t Jazz’s idea. Prime wasn’t in on the plot much either. That was all humanities doing. I guess they wanted to see giant robots battle it out in a metropolitan area.

To get back on topic…Killing off Jazz was a great move! Bringing back a classic character like that would be crap. Movie goers needed to hate the Decepticons…Megatron especially. Bringing Jazz back would defeat that purpose. NIGHTBEAT for TF2 (No not the mini-con!!! Never liked Armada anyways.)

Jazz Died. He should stay dead & by replaced by Sunstreaker, Hound, Windcharger, Cliffjumper, Inferno & well anyone else time to move on & have new charactors.

to the people who said hat jazz is the sole survivor in the 1986 , i saw the movie alot of transformers were still alive at the end so how can he be the sole survivor? oh yeah and a lot of people in my class saw transformers and said that jazz is their fav character. and it was hard seeing my fav character die

A lot of G1 characters survived the movie and then were just never shown screen time.

I thought it was quite amusing, the exchange of speech between Megatron and Jazz shortly before he bought it!
