I have found several rumors that Jazz will be back in the second movie. Apparently optimus uses a piece of the Allspark to bring him back to life. Thats all I know for now but I'll try to find more information.

I thought it was a big fat NO... but then you brought up that shard of the allspark thing I dont think he'll come back even though i really want him to but think about it he got ripped in freakin half

I wonder if this is more of wishful thinking? If his spark was ripped in half, even granting him life again with the spark wouldn't bring back his own personal 'consciousness' would it? Wouldn't he be a totally new personality if that was done?

Of course, the movies haven't given any guidelines on how that works in their continuity. So, really, they could do whatever they want as long as they're ready for the backlash...

Well frenzy got his head hacked off and look what the alspark did to him.

when it was that huge cube it helped out.

I dunno, it said it right at the end and pretty definitely that Jazz is dead. I really can't see them bringing him back.

I posted a comment earlier after the pics of the movie Jazz repaint came out. If you look at the back of the card, small and blurry as it may be, it talks about Ratchet rebuilding him, and Jazz picking the new G1 paint job. The toy line uses a bunch of characters from the game that were never in the movie. Might never be flushed out, but still, you got mention of Jazz being rebuilt right there in the movie toy line-if that constitutes any kind of official continuity. I hope they bring him back, that flip around transformation thing he did was pretty slick.

Yeah they're gonna put Jazz' spark in Blaster, that way they save Bay some time on urban voice-overs ...

I will be glad when the "buzz" is over and people stop makin stuff up. Or at least slow down.

But, isn't that kinda what message boards are for, if only partially? We fans get to throw down some random ideas, have a few chuckles about them, and dream about what might be down the road. What's the harm in that? Beyond annoying you I mean only kidding.

Best time to throw the writers some ideas as to who to put in next, eh?

Seriously, though, even though the writers haven't started yet, & possibly haven't been picked yet, assuming they don't just automatically use the same guys again, if ideas of what to put into the next one get spread around enough, the writers might catch wind of it, like the idea, & use it. You never know untill it happens....

Personally, I'd like to see Tracks in the next movie, but I'd bet if they even consider him it'd possibly be a toss-up between him & Sunstreaker, as they both have virtually the same personality, IIRC.

But that being aside, I don't see why they couldn't put Jazz back in the next movie, but I won't hold my breath. Fan-favorite, but then again characters tend to die a lot easier in movies than on TV.

To prove my point the guy up there said frenzy got his head hacked off. Frenzys head was still alive the allspark just put him back to his original state

But that is still a valid point. I noticed Frenzy getting rebuilt the second time around and it dawned on me that it could happen to Jazz. Remember that so far in all of the toyline/storylines no Cybertronian was ever permanently destroyed.

Yea, like megs and prime from the old movie. They both "died", but came back to life later.

remember they only had a minute to try and fix him. Given a workshop maybe Ratchet can do better. I doubt he will come back though.

I thought maybe they killed off Jazz to make way for another stronger Autobot...Ultra Magnus perhaps?? But I wouldn't mind seeing him being brought back to life considering that he was offed so early in the final battle.

Maybe not stronger, but probably a different autobot. There are so many Transformers there is no way they could handle but just a handfew at a time for you to actually care about them. Think of how much people are complaining of how little character development there is due to lack of robot exposure in the first movie...if they add more & more bots there is no way they are going to even be able to attempt to develop any of their characters. So instead they're making a few go bye-bye instead. Makes sense to me. Jazz got his limelight, brief as it may have been, now let some other 'bots & 'cons get theirs.

i think he should be back cuz hes cool but maybe they will remake him to make another autobot in TF2...

Cool idea with a reformat of Jazz. Reminds me of Bumblebee changing into Goldbug. Man, Goldbug had an ugly face. Say, that'd make him fit right in with the movie versions heh heh

Its in the new Jazz coming out soon. He apparantly does come back (still a solstice) and gets a paint job to match his G1 self.

Really, the trick is whether his spark was actually extinguished. He got torn at the waste, not the chest after all. (and really, there better be a good reason for the creepy carrying around of his dead body parts)

Now, the video game's autobot side version of his death (Brawl claw through the grille) says that his spark was extinguished, but we never got that in the movie. All sorts of different crap is going on there, like Jazz simultaneously taking out Blackout and Starscream.

It may be his body died, but not his soul, in which case the Allspark's life-giving would be kind of handy.
