And really, look at the character. The character was terrible, the writers obviously didn't care about him whatsoever. From what I saw he was the weakest and most worthless. He contributed nothing to the team other than being cannon fodder.

I didn't like the character but if they bring him back, fine, it won't suprise me, it won't be the end of the world for me.

What I don't get is the narrow minded belief of some people that just because Hasbro are putting out a G1-esque repaint with a bio that says "Ratchet fixed him" that it's the be all and end all of Jazz's "resurrection". It's Hasbro cashing in on fanboys G1 desires.

Just like saying someone attached to the movie said something about Jazz being in the next movie. How can they be saying anything like that when the movie is only in green light stage?

Simple fact, at this point in time, Jazz is dead. All things point to him being an expendable character but a character Hasbro can use to pimp a repaint to the fanboys. Until someone comes up with something more concrete, like oh ... a script for the second movie maybe? Then he's dead.

Sure, they bring him back and it goes something like this:

Let's say Jazz is one of those types that always has a jump drive around his neck or in his pocket, maybe on his keychain, and just when he knew he was going to buy the farm, he saved himself on it. Ratchet can rebuild him or install him on a laptop or ipod, or something. Yeah, that's how it happens. . . .

Eh, it's Hollywood. They'll do what's profitable.

I don't need to watch it.

Why? Simple.

The second movie has only been green lit. That means they're looking at it.

What it also means is that there's no director, no writers, no script, no actors, no agreements with companies for product placements.

In other words, NO ONE knows what's going to happen in the sequel because NOTHING has been started on it.

Hey give the guy a break, he's just sharing some news with us... I feel that Jazz might be coming back... it was dumb the way he died. But what scared me was when Optimus Prime said "We lost a good comrade today Autobots."

We all hope our favorite Autobot doesn't die, and if he does... we want him to come back hey?

Don't shoot me on this but they could do a O my god they killed jazz, and bring him back LOL.

But my feelings is they will bring jazz back as he is a key member of the trasnformers franchise, like in the cartoons prime seems to always bite it than come back, they may do so with jazz. As having prime die in this movie would be to early, this is a new chapter in the Transformers franchise. Also they may have killed him off so that they can rebuild him into a different car. As with the lack of mass shifitng jazz, could not be revived into anything bigger. and therefore by rebuilding they could increase his mass to be something more bigger and more in line with the size of ratchet and ironhide. As for a car maybe a zonda or one of those huge supercars that are fast but also quite big!!!

Also not foregtting car manufacturers are going to be queuing up to get their vehicle in the movie now.

geez, you think 20 plus years of reading transformers comics would teach you the one thing you can say about TF characters is death ISNT permanent. honestly, how many times has he been killed in the comic?

hmm.. i havent thought of that i thought he just took the small piece of the allspark as a souvenir...

Jazz could well be back. The 2nd movie is greenlit yes, but actors already had clauses in their contracts for seuqels. and if Darius has one means Jazz could well be back!!!

You know who was signed for a sequel? Christopher Lee. He was signed for Return of the King, which he was supposed to play a large part in.

And watch, watch the movie again, was there even one scene with Christopher Lee? No, there wasn't.

Being signed on means jack if they don't want to use your character.

And they haven't even written a script. They just have Darius McCrary signed because they don't know what'll happen.

He's dead, folks, get over it. Jazz was never a very good character, hence why they killed him.

I can't wait to see what happens in TF2!!!! I am still on the fence with this. A peace of me would like to see Jazz back. A peace of me says he should stay dead. If they do bring Jazz back I hope this is the LAST TIME they bring a Transformer back from the dead(in this series). Its kills it for all the REALIST out there. I think most of them should die since it is a war. Prime, Ironhide, Ratchet, Starscream, should all die by the end of TF3. It is apart of their legacy. Jazz's death was rushed. A lot of the TF scenes were rusted. They spend so much time on humans they had to rush the TFs fights. I mean we don't even see when Megatron grabs Jazz, But we see this long scene with Sam in class, And the LONG scene with Bobby B(Bernie Mac) And the long scene with.....well you get the picture. The school teacher had more lines then Starscream!! I forgot what this topic was about....I'm tired.

As much as I would love to see Jazz be brought back to life in the sequal I would have to say no. Because Ironhide said "We couldn't save him" and if Jazz suddenly is brought back to life by Ratchet or what ever, Viewers would be wondering why did they waste there time saying they couldnt?

IIRC, bay said he didn't like Jazz....but not for the character. It was for the alt mode he ended up with. He supposedly didn't want something so small, but since GMC was saving him about 5 mil on production cost, he didn't have much choice.

....They might have killed him off so he could be rebuilt bigger & have his standard Porche alt in a bigger-budgeted sequel.....

.....but it's really hard to say what's going to happen in sequels because, as you pro-stay dead guys have mentioned, the script hasn't been written yet. That means anything could happen.....anything.....even Jazz being brought back.

well thers comics being made that are going to take place between this film and the sequel, and they've announced that they've started making them so im guessing they've already got a story board of ideas that might lead into the sequel so lets wait to see wat happens in those, then we know wats going to be in tf2

Anyone who watched the takara headmasters episodes will know that Soundwave and Blaster killed each other. rodimus says your death will not be in vain.

next episode both are brought back to life, so in the world of transformers they bring back who they want!!!!

As for the Jazz in the orginal movie, well he was alive as he was on moon base with spike.
