held in honour of john grace, pioneering creator of reboot, the first fully computer generated television series for children.
the john grace memorial conference will feature lectures, panels and demonstrations of the best of british computer animation, including
phil mitchell from infinite frameworks singapore, co creator of 'reboot' and 'beast wars', mike uden, talking about gerry andersons 'captain scarlet', and the best of contemporary independant work in the figures of marc craste (jo jo in the stars), johnny hardstaff (the future of gaming), dave mousley (titanic, birth of a legend) and andy macnamara (condor studios)
the day will also feature a tribute to john grace, looking at '64 zoo lane' and 'reboot' with ken anderson from red kite animation and leading childrens book illustrator and animator, an vrombaut, and a look back at pioneering computer animation by the halas &bachelor studio.
