- Weapon: Blinding Black Light Beam Gun
Here are some of the Autobot missions.
Landings (vs. Cons)
With the successful reestablishment of control over the southern fortifications and bases along Polyhex and the Rust Sea, it is time for us to deal a measure of payback to the Decepticons. Hopefully we'll also be able to take some pressure off of Tagon with this new operation. Decepticon shipping lanes from eastern Tyrest run close to our shores; guess what we need to send to the bottom? In addition, Hydrax must be taken out of the battle by neutralizing their air power. That will be your job. Your orders are to land on the shores of Hydrax and establish a beach head. Once accomplished, move into the territory proper and eliminate the Decepticon's supply caches, ammo dumps, factories, ports and airfields... What? Apparently someone or something has already beaten us to the punch! Look, in the distance, pillars of smoke from their primary coastal fortress. This can't be good; our advance teams weren't equipped to deal that sort of damage. Get over to Hydrax as per your original orders, assess the situation, link up with our advance forces, and render aid to civilians. But be careful; whoever is attacking that base should definitely not be trifled with lightly, and the last thing we need is to enter a third party civil war.
Enemy of My Enemy (vs. Cons)
Analysis of the foreign construct remains recovered from the Hydraxian Platue have been completed. As feared, analysis confirms the reports from the field commanders on both sides: they are of Quintesson manufacture. It’s likely the same across the Decepticon advance; Galvatron probably made some sort of insane pact with a mutual enemy hoping it wouldn’t bite him in the aft. A short time ago, command in Iacon issued an order for all embattled units to directly engage the Quintesson forces. From our understanding the same command has been issued from Kaon. That will probably be the only positive report we can offer for a while. As for your new assignment, be prepared to enter the devil’s den, so to speak. The Governing Officer of Tyrest has evoked an ancient treaty regarding the dealings with the Quintessons, the details of the treaty are unimportant, but it appears that unbeknownst even to the Decepticons, the Squids have built a nice little nest in the heart of Tyrest. Intelligence reports indicate that it’s not their only entrenchment in Con-held territory, but it is a critical facility. It appears to be a factory complex that is being converted into a deep space port. If that transformation is completed... well you get the picture. Your assignment is to link up with assault forces from the Tyrest defense force and take out the Quintesson base. But be warned, command still doesn't trust Tyrest or any of the Decepticons, and neither should you.
Robber Baron (vs. Cons)
Normally a relatively neglected territory, Uraya, home of our so-called-aristocracy, has come under the sinister optics of an overzealous Decepticon general. For once however we have gained this information before their arrival, thus allowing us to prepare a pleasant surprise for them. Across the Eastern Hemisphere forces have begun to gather within the Frontier Base to block the Decepticon's route into Praxus. Of course we must also secure our economic interests in the area as well. Once we take care of these advance units the way should be open to bring the hammer down on the assault force at Altihex and force those Toadicons back to the swamps they came from.
Line in the Sand (vs. Cons)
It is truly a mess across all fronts, although the situation has stabilized enough to get some preliminary reports from the embattled sites and besieged cities. All reports confirm that the Decepticons have some sort of new infantry unit, not overly strong but hitting the field in vast numbers. Still, we have plenty of bigger Seacons to fry. A small detachment from Polyhex has established a foothold in the Maximus Line, pushing our forces out a bit. It’s rather surprising that the main bulk of their forces, along with the troops from Tyrest and the air forces from Hydrax, are focusing on taking Tagon... Though they have our land, it provides a most interesting and opportune time for action. Head to the embattled Maximus Line and retake the overrun Bunker 23 and re-establish our presence there. Once it’s all secured, make their bunkers across the Predacon Line pay.
Defend the refinery (vs. Cons)
The Guardian units were rocked as the first air strikes hit their target, signaling the alarms that deafened the guards and they hurriedly called for back-up from command. The frequency of these attacks on the refinery meant that the region was never far from a high-alert, but if it were to fall the war effort of the entire Autobot faction would be in the balance.
-edit- Here are some more
Support the Army of the Animatros Republic (vs. Preds)
As you know, the rebellion on the jungle planet of Animatros was successful, and the planet is now divided between the newly formed Animatros Republic, led by Snarl, and the Western Hemisphere Confederation, led the Decepticon sympathizer Scourge. The WHDC is supporting the Animatros Predacons, an insurgency movement within the Animatros Republic. The Animatros Republic is a valuable ally of the Autobot United Systems and an important strategic point in the galaxy. Control of Animatros would provide the Decepticons with a potential staging point for an invasion of Velocitron. Because of this, the war council is sending our best troops to train the Army of the Animatros Republic to quell the Anim Con insurgents. Remember, we cannot afford to become embroiled in a full scale war by provoking the WHDC, so do not engage in combat with the Anim Con unless you have no alternative.
Stop the Experiments (vs. Maxis)
Our agents still on Cybertron have brought us some disturbing news. Apparently our Maximal kin have taken an unhealthy interest in cyberbiotic experimentation with military applications, and frankly, some of it is just down right creepy. We don’t know why, but on their science colony Omicron they’re actually trying to clone Starscream! I know we promised not to interfere with their affairs when we left Cybertron, but our oath as Autobots to protect the innocent and uphold what is right supercedes that agreement. Take a team and shut down that lab. This is a surgical strike - avoid collateral damage and innocent casualties. Once that’s done, we’ll talk about returning to Cybertron…
