I think it depends what you are after. If you want a Magnus to display with MP-01 get this. If you want one to stand next to MP-10, wait on Takara's.

There is only one head. There is the regular Ultra Magnus face and underneath that is another. The more Prime-esque face underneath is supposed to be a call back to the old toy (from what I'm reading anyway.)

Tsutsukakushi wrote: Translation seems wrong. As this clearly has some parts forming stuff on the super boots.

It depends which translation you're reading. The first that one that came out stated it was a parts former, like the cartoon. Others since then have stated otherwise. Time will clear things up.

I do like Stack but seriously, who's going to pick it over that MP-22? Still might get Stack, definitely getting MP-22.

From looking at this pic. I got the impression, The front of the head had the UM head. While the back of the head had that weird head on it. Sort of like those 1996 BW Deluxe Mutant heads.

While this might not be a accurate way to to figure out the inches of toys we don't have yet. I often grab toys from my display shelves to figure out the inches height of toys most don't own yet. Judging from all of the comparisions pics we have in this thread of MP-01,KFC UM & MP-10. My guess is that MP-22 Is half of a head or 0.5 inches shorter than MP-01. While KFC UM is 1.5 to 2 inches taller than MP-22 & KFC UM.

If MP-22 is 0.5 inches shorter than MP-01. Then this still puts both characters toys in cartoon scale. As some scenes in Season 3 & 4 showed UM a Half of a head shorter than Optimus. While other scenes showed them the same height. While a few scenes did show UM a bit taller than Optimus.

Using my MP-10 toy,KFC UM toy & MP-01 toys from my display shelves. I think I might have figured out the height of MP-22 in Robot mode. MP-22 might be around 11.4 inches tall in robot mode. Months ago I measured MP-10 and its a 9.4 inch toy in robot mode. Making MP-22 a full Two inches taller than MP-10 in robot mode.

KFC UM is half of a head taller than MP-01. Which put both characters toys in cartoon scale with some of the season 3 and 4 scenes.

KFC UM is far to oversized to be in any cartoon scale with MP-10. Both of these toys might be in 1980's toy scale.

So far, I will. I don't like MP-10, and won't be getting MP-22 unless it really is "perfect." Which I doubt it will be. Like Doc said, Stack looks much better with MP-01, which I prefer over MP-10. It's all a matter of taste. Just because MP-22 is the official piece, it doesn't make it the better choice for everyone.

I'm only providing second hand info as I can't translate the passage myself. It looks like to me in the picture that there is a hole in the top of the head in which another piece would snap over. I just don't think they'd sculpt a head with two faces showing at the same time. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd bet one is covered up.

Yeah, I must say Stack is a bit too big for MP-10, but if you consider MP-09 to be Hot Rod and not Rodimus, it would be OK. But then Hot Rod would be out of scale for the other cars.

Also, just making it clear, the name "Citizen Stack" is an homage to Robert Stack, who voiced Magnus in TF:TM.

Looks like RK has MP-22 for pre-order at $150 USD. but shipping to the US is going to be $100 bucks? haha wtf?

http://www.robotkingdom.com/tftrmp22.html

Also notice they put this

This item includes:
Ultra Magnus Main Body
Face for Exchange X 1
Weapon X 1
Daniel Figure X 1
Spike Figure X 1
Fist for Exchange
Manual

Something to consider when you're thinking about Citizen Stacks. Also I would wait for reasonable shipping prices from Japan.

That's very typical of them now and why I no longer order from there. Shipping is expensive internationally, but not that expensive.

to be fair this is my shipping quote

Registered Air Mail Parcel US$ 12.71

LOL wtf?

and also this

Registered Air Mail Small Packet US$ 128.17

so.... should I buy it with the 12.71 shipping hoping they'll honor it? Cause that's got to be a system error no?

Ehhh don't feel like paying for it upfront. I'll wait for HLJ

FYI Toy DOJO has this for 184.99 free shipping and pay later

http://www.toydojo.com/masterpiece-mp-22-autobot-city-commander-ultra-magnus/

So this is priced exactly the same as Citizen Stacks from US retailers.

Probably one of those cliche double-handed fists that allow you to let Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus have epic bro moments (Or, as Thew Adams puts it, "broments"), similarly to how the Revoltech versions of the two characters have it.
They call me “Tanker Chungus”!

BBTS has updated this listing of MP-22 with a lower $189 price. I don't think this is that bad. Considering the Hasbro TRU USA version might sell around $139.99 with another $13 in taxes. Lets not forget Import sites don't charge tax.

Currently Hasbro TRU USA,Is charging $129.99 for Platinum MP-10 Optimus Prime. So when next year rolls around that Price for Hasbro's MP-22 might get a price hike. Possibly around $139.

I figure, why wait almost a year after the Takara MP-22 gets released for the Hasbro version. Then Taking the chance of getting cheaper paint on the toy. when the difference might only wind up being around $50.
