MP-22 & MP-VictorySaber might bring the MP-01 toy scale back.

Nope.

we'll just have to wait & see.

In regards to MP-22... Why would something based off MP-10 be scaled to go with MP-01?

Was referring to the MP-22 Super robot mode being MP-01 12-13 inches.

I honestly doubt it. Right now, this line is dedicated to being as close to cartoon accuracy and scale as possible. I don't think they'd shy away from that formula on Ultra Magnus or Star Saber. It's all just speculation now though, honestly.

GodGinrai in the MF cartoon series was the size of a gestalt and Overlord. When Godginrai appeared in that V cartoon series, He was the same scale as Starsaber. So speculating MP Starsaber to be a bigger scale , around 11-13 inches tall in super robot mode will be 1980's cartoon and toy accurate.

Or by the same logic Star Saber could be scaled to MP-10's size. Like I said in my previous post, it's all speculation.

Personally, I'm just happy their coming bc I'm not satisfied with the size of this UM.

So what you're saying is that based off one guy they aren't making, another guy they aren't making, and combiners they aren't making, all from an entirely different series' then the guy they are making, the random fan choice one-off figure with no repaint potential and no retail demand outside of Japan's very targeted audience that will actually buy it will be out of scale with the last dozen guys they've made and large enough to put the price point passed where even the people who voted for him will be willing to pay. And that has some bearing on this 3rd party version of Ultra Magnus.

Cuz that makes sense.

pretty sure based on this bowl of bones and entrails I just spilled on the floor that MP Star Saber will be a Cyberverse Legion scaled figure. But his sword will still be Leader Class.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

Their is just no way MP-22 UM will only be a head or inch bigger than MP-10. Some like myself have already done the math. That MP-22 Car carrier trailer broken up into armor pieces will add 2.5 to 3.5 inches at minimal to the super robot mode.

KFC Ultra Magnus, MP-22 and MP Starsaber. Are all bound to be the same MP-01 11 to 13 inches scale height in robot mode.

MP Ultra Magnus & MP Starsaber are bound to be the same 11 to 13 inches height in robot mode. As both toys combine with parts to form a super robot mode.

MP Starsaber is bound to be followed by MP Victoryleo. As they are a pair that combine in both modes.

Adults fans collect MP TF toys, not kids or the non adult fans. USA based adult fans who surf the internet know who Victory Starsaber is.
USA based fans will be buying the Takara & Hasbro USA MP TF versions of MP Starsaber and MP Victoryleo.

No they aren't.

No they aren't

Tsutsukakushi wrote:MP Starsaber is bound to be followed by MP Victoryleo. As they are a pair that combine in both modes.

No, he's not. Star Saber wasn't a planned MP, he won a fan poll. For Victory Leo to be next, they'd have to make another poll, he'd have to be on it, ad he'd have to win it. And the poll was a one off for the 30th anniversary celebration so nope, not doing that again anytime soon.

Tsutsukakushi wrote:Adults fans collect MP TF toys, not kids or the non adult fans. USA based adult fans who surf the internet know who Victory Starsaber is.

I know who Star Saber is. I have the series on DVD, I have a couple of the PVC and SCF figures and the Robotmaster of Star Saber. And I and the vast majority of non-Japanese collectors consider it an easy pass. He's not even going to be a numbered MP for crying out loud! Star Saber doesn't mean anything to most collectors. Powermaster Optimus/Ginrai, Optimus Primal, even Star Convoy would all garnered international interest. But no, it's Star Saber. It isn't "bound" to do anything but go on clearance at BBTS and still not move.

And all of that? All of the posts, comments, concepts, sentences, words, individual freaking letters used trying to explain this stuff by so many people? This isn't even the right place to talk about it! Start a new thread on the main TF toys board and talk about it to your hearts content! This is about this one specific third party item in particular that has nothing to do with anything you've been talking about. They're not in scale because none of the things you've been talking about are. They don't go together, they aren't designed to go together, and the only place they may ever be together is on your shelf and that's only if you get all three.

I'm done... just done. How do you block people again?

I'm hoping the MP comes in a light blue like that but I'm fully expecting an eHobby Diaclone repaint. I'm still on the fence until we see MP-22.

Wait why on the fence about MP-22 and want this? If it's price I willing to bet BBTS is just throwing a price out there as a place holder. They have no clue how much that is going to cost. I'm not saying it'll be cheap but I doubt it'll be $279. Also I never get my MPs through them anymore anyway. It is much cheaper to import straight from Japanese retailers. I bet all at the end of the day MP-22 can be had for around 200-220 shipped from Japan. MP bumblebee only cost me $40. I have much more confidence in Takara's MP than what I see in this thing no matter how many reviewers love it.

That light blue version looks amazing, but feels like a slap in the face. Kinda like iGear's minibot offerings and their off colors. If I am going to purchase this figure, I'd get the original version. I'm not too into Diaclone, but that version might intrigue fans more than the light blue version.

I don't fault KFC for their original, darker color scheme as I was looking forward to the original version which should be shipping sometime this month. I likely just won't be able to pick it up until later, due to other priorities.

I am definitely MP Ultra Magnus and I'm going to get it twice if Hasbro puts one out too because I want the white Prime. Whichever white Prime is better goes on my Magnus shelf sans armor and whichever armor is better goes on the other white Prime on the MP shelf. I want this to stand next to the white Prime on my Magnus shelf. It's a character collector thing. It sounds really bad when I put it that way. Okay, how's this: on my shelf I have a beat up G1 Optimus hooked up in the G1 armor so the white Magnus can stand next to him and I was going to put the Henkei Magnus next to Classic Magnus in the City Commander armor but ended up giving Henkei Magnus to my friend for his birthday instead. Same idea but a hell of a lot more expensive so I'm on the fence about even getting this at all.

Guys, since you mentioned colors, I noticed something whether it's the G1 original down to City Commander. That color of blue of UM tends to appear differently from pictures to the real thing. I don't know what to call the term but UM, when photographed, tends to be dark blue when in fact he's kind of light blue. Same too for the hue of blue used on Godginrai.

Question: did you have to trim G1 OP's antenna to get the Magnus head to fit? I seem to remember not being able to do that when I bought the G2 version of G1 OP and I already had UM.

On the colors, that light blue version seems to be an almost spot-on match to Titanium UM. I seem to remember my G1 UM being a lot more on that light blue side.

(I answer to Ag or Ags. Agamemnon is too long to type. Plus, there is something elemental about calling me Ag. :-D )
