Is somebody selling MP Ratbats for $50 ?

Tsutsukakushi wrote:So,We've got Three different 3rd party Blasters coming out in 2014?
This KFC version seems like the worst of the lot,in design & size. It's bad enough when Hasbro makes newer versions that are smaller than the original versions. I don't need 3rd parties to follow this example.

Nope, would still be lame.synapse wrote:Arctorro wrote:Definitely lame.megatronus wrote:I'm trying to figure out if the blaster fitting over the gun is cool, or lame. I'm leaning towards lame.
I guess it's made that way so that the blaster can combine with the shoulder cannon in alt mode.
Perhaps if the base gun was blue as well it wouldn't look that lame?

Arctorro wrote:That Ratbat looks really out of place with the Masterpiece figures! Think I will stick with my recent decision to get MP Soundblaster seeing as it is only $60 more, and not only will I get another awesome Soundwave figure, but that Ratbat will be a million times better than KFC's usual crap.
Doesn't matter what he was made to go with, there are those who would add this Ratbat to their MP collection if he was sold separately (just like the MP version)Rated X wrote:Arctorro wrote:That Ratbat looks really out of place with the Masterpiece figures! I dont think that Ratbat was made to go with MP figures as it comes with a deluxe scale figure.![]()
MP cassettes scale really well according to the G1 Scale Chart the MP line is using as a guide these daysRated X wrote:Cassettes kind of are an exception to the MP scale. By G1 cartoon standards, MP cassettes scale much better with the classics line. They look way out of scale with MP Soundwave. Especially Ravage. I bought MP Soundwave just for the cassettes and have never transformed him. Ill probally end up buying a Soundblaster for Ratbat as well. Im holding out for a cheaper Hasbro release or a KO version of Ratbat.

I think that was just a sales ploy to get more people to actually buy in to their repaint of a repaint of a repaint.Rated X wrote:I dont think that Ratbat was made to go with MP figures as it comes with a deluxe scale figure.![]()
The way Takara MP molds are making their way to the KO factories quite easily these days, we'll probably see KO Soundwave/blaster and Ratbat come spring!Rated X wrote:Im holding out for a cheaper Hasbro release or a KO version of Ratbat.

Then there is the fact that the MP cassettes are the same size as the G1 casstttes which allows for them to be used pretty much anywhere a collector wants to (that includes the KFC cassettes seeing as they are trying to make them in that scale)

Exactly! I personally prefer using the datadiscs, but that's just my preference!Gauntlet101010 wrote:I don't think anyone needs to justify including MP cassettes in their Classics collection. It's your collection. There's not really a need to justify anything.

If KFC release Badbat separately I will get him, even if I already have the MP version, but plastic quality is a worry.Mkall wrote:Arctorro wrote:Now can we please get back to how crap KFC products areGotta say, I'm liking the cassette mode for Badbat. Sure. I'm passing on this guy too because I'm very worried about plastic quality.
HOWEVER at 20-25 bucks each, they make good Classics cassetes. They're certainly not worthy of the name Masterpiece, but they look better on the shelf than the flat G1 Cassettes that I still have.
Alas Ratbat's not being sold seperately, which is a shame because I would've gotten him had it not been for that Perceptor in Decepticon drag that he come with.

That is the perfect description of what this figure is.
