KOs are here to stay for those of us who appreciate what they offer. Loyalty to copyright holders is a personal preference. Not all Star Wars fans are going to pledge allegiance to Mickey Mouse. So one shouldnt expect all Transformers fans to pledge allegiance to Hasbro or whoever owns the copyrights in the futute should they change hands. Ill leave it at that and refrain from arguing further on this thread. And a purple clone would be nice. But what I would really like to see them do is what nobody else has done yet and nail the blue rainmaker's cartoon accurate color. The perfect shade of blue would be the plastic used to make Botcon Battletrap.

Ooohhh... I guess I have a reason to keep Hasbro MP Thundercracker now...

Anyway, I just saved a buttload of money. I was bidding on both Mp11 'Cracker and 'Warp. Now I'm letting those go. I'll be perfectly happy with a pair of KO's for them.

I'll buy the Seekers in whatever colors of the rainbow that our official sources omit from production.Ironhidensh wrote:Anyway, I just saved a buttload of money. I was bidding on both Mp11 'Cracker and 'Warp. Now I'm letting those go. I'll be perfectly happy with a pair of KO's for them.
As for the ones teased so far, I'm down for orange but I don't know if I need the green fella. I actually really like Hasbro's Acid Storm. Purple clones though... I'd buy a minimum of three.

Bring it on!!
Now... how about Soundwave! KO or Rerelease is fine with me. That thing's INSANE online. I've considered getting Ghost version and repainting it...

Agreed. I mean... it's probably better then the $200+ for legitimate Skywarps... but I really hope they get some stripes painted on that at least.
It's just labeled as a 'test shot'... So i'm still hopeful.
What I'm most curious about is price... Has there been any word at all? Are we going to be looking at $150 because they can... or closer to the $30-$60 of traditional Amazon KOs....
Already paid big money for a starscream... just need the other two now....

Being smaller would add a lot to their appeal so something similar to MP-10V would be ideal for me.
I am modestly interested by the idea of decent copies if they offer interesting colours - some of what iGear did I really liked - but then iGear's seeker mould is probably the best mould too as it has the best features of both official types the ankle tilts and the tails on the legs both on the same toy and not as chunky looking either.
So if some one knocks off igear's Seekers at about 1/3rd smaller I'd be rather pleased. 7 or 8 inches would suit me best.
If someone can make them cheaply and decently then they can milk that cow for years to come like KOtoys did with the CHMS seekers some years back.

The Cape actually fits over the wings, which can be done.. it is just that the cape must be attached to the back of the shoulder pads, and with a cutout for the back side in the middle, and then attaches again to the otherside shoulder pads. that would look much nicer, and easier to deal with in tight showcase situations.. the plastic cape made for it sucks.. I mean let's face it, it is a cape.. it should be made of soft material..
anyhow... See the pic here
https://i.ytimg.com/vi/aSBPIOomm4w/maxresdefault.jpg
and see how the back bits here are poking out..just beneath his arm, the cape could loop under that and come back up on the other side to the shoulder pad and connect.. so it looks movie accurate..

I mean yea, the TAKARA TOMY cape is good for posing, but since this is a KO, why not just do the fabric cape with metal wire for posing, and have it more movie-esque in accuracy.
Or give us both! LOL

Not to start the argument all over again, but this really does worry me. Not least of all because I don't want another cassette situation- it's borderline impossible to find the real deal on eBay now, and the ones that are available are being sold for silly prices. I don't have the space or money for an MP collection at the moment, but if/when I do it's really gonna suck if the aftermarket is saturated with KOs, and as a result the real deal becomes both rarer and more expensive.
Or alternatively, provided they're still going through with it, I could always buy that upcoming Maketoys version.

I hear ya, but specifically with this guy I don't think it'll be a problem.Delta Magnus wrote:Not to start the argument all over again, but this really does worry me. Right now it seems that there's two kinds of KO's out there: the questionable-quality counterfeits, and the "we're trying harder and even improving stuff" KO's. Like Feral Rex and the MPP10's. And the later so far have original packaging, so there's no issue of confusing them with the real deal.
