The "Premium" version just appears to have different paint application... less red, more purple... as to fit more with SG Rodimus instead of Wildrider. Looks like purple-tipped spoiler, silver hands instead of red... purple flames on the chest... few other little details.

Those CHMS hot rods are like impossible to find now LoL.. I found a couple on ebay and a few over seas. I never thought I would be hunting for a KO LMAO! :HEADHURTS:

Have you tried going through the order process? I think it has the shipping cost towards the end. Just like how RK has it.

also i asked if theres gona be a chms ko botcon prime to go with the botcon trailer - again no answer.....abit unless to get the trailer unless i can get the prime to go with it.....abit like owning car wheels without having a car to put them on

The"premium version" I think is going to be colored more for Sg rodimus and less for Wildrider since both ar slightly different. Aces toy store.com has the regular shadow scyther listed as well as a "Purple version" which I think is geared more towards the SG rodimus. The "Premium version" is misleading I guess..Expect a slightly different color scheme, thats all...

What I mean is, the version which has more black/dk grey rather than the purple paint apps?

I have just picked up the Sons of Cybertron set with Crystal Classics Op and Rodimus in their full transparent glory so I can make my own...

I received my Ko Shadow Scyther kit today from Aces toy store. Lightning fast shipping, got it from cali in 2 days with regular ground shipping.

The kit itself comes in a box much like the original from Fansproject , the double clamshell packaging and the accesories in the indivdual chamber bags

I have the kit on a RTS custom rodimus im doing and suprisingly it fits really well.. I was worried the most about the feet pieces not being secure but they fit the best out of all the pieces . The shoulder parts fit but they don't quite grab like the FP version does. They stay in place with no modding, especially on the crystal rodimus.

The chest plate fits very well but the flames that come out of the chest plate don't really move out at all. The piece is secure and hold sonto both Rodimus very well. Now for the helmet.. It literally just sits on Rodimus' head with no grab what so ever. The kit comes with the red wildrider face plate but it doesn't help at all. pretty much the worst part of the kit.

All in all I think its a great set. I'm suprised the kit is as good as it is since the Ko 3rd party sets are known for being POS but this kit changed my opinion. It actually fits better on the Crystal Rodimus than it did on the BiS rodimus. The kit did not include the chrome wing pieces but did come with the scythe, the handshake gimmick piece, the gun and the wildrider face plate. I'd give the set about a 7/10. Not very many paint mishaps and all of the pieces fit together well with virtually no gaps... I picked it up at

im not sure why but i just think this looks utter crap....it just doesnt seem to look like it belongs on wildrider and coz of the coloring it looks wrong on SG hotrod because its in wildrider colors.

I really wana see what this preimum version looks like and also to see if they make a clear version

There is no "Premium" version.. Since it's a ko of a 3rd party item the quality wont improve over what I disclosed in the previous post. The coloring wont be altered except for a version with purple on it. Since I do not own a actual Sg rodimus or a henkei wildrider my comparison pics wont show what the Ko set will look.

In some cases the Ko shadow scyther kit seemed to fit better than the fansproject Clear protector kit in some cases. I would love for reprolabels to make a Sg sticker set for Shadow scyther, the one they made for protector were sweet!

They wont, i asked before and there basically being ass-hats on the whole SG issue. They wont make SG stickers or do sticker sets for SG items. Im not sure why the hell they wont make SG symbols...i mean ffs if your ok doing autobot and decepticon symbols why not Sg symbols?

i mean to be PE blue arcee is a perfect Shattered Glass Arcee but she needs some SG symbol lovin

I like the colors... but I'm not buying a KO for $75... I'll save my money for the oodles of good stuff coming.

The chest on those KO pictures looks terrible... it doesn't seem to fit correctly at all.

Mine is making it's way from China so when I get it Ill put my 2 cents in. Hopefully the flaws in the chest are limited to some pieces. Maybe it fights tight on the KO's which I have both. Im sure spmething can be done to make the head tight.

I guess that explains why Reprolabels never made a color variant for the BTS trailer. I used the Prime version and it still lights up the details awesome. But I never considered black Primes, Magnus, or Rodimus to be part of the "shattered glass" continuity. "Shadow" characters have nothing to do with Funpub's silly comic saga. Maybe that's why the original trailer was done in Wildrider colors...

Im really pleased with the "QC" per say of this paticular KO. i was expecting a train wreck of loose parts and horrid paint aps but they really did a good job on this one. It does have flaws but they are easy fixes. Considering this set goes for $350+ on ebay ( well it used to at least) this is well worth it especially since it does fit so well on a Hasbro/takara hot rod..

Im probably going to paint my anyways, the little comic inside gives me some wild ideas for repaint possibilities

Are you sure you're putting the torso piece on the best you can? It's sitting almost a half-inch too low and looks terrible. Try fitting on the top of the piece first and then snapping the bottom in second...

I wouldn't say a 1/2 inch but it was slightly off centered. The middle of the chest plate doesn't quite come out when you snap into place like the FP versions flames do. The paint they used isnt quite as vibrant of a silver, I might go back over it with some mithril silver.. Also the two tabs at the top of the chest plate that you would snap in first before the bottom are a little small, a little exacto knife work would help IMO..

To be honest after messin with it for a day it holds up better once its been attached to rodimus for awhile. The arms and legs are a bit more firm . I switched the face plate out with the protector one and it holds a tad bit better. I wish it had came with the chrome fins, would have been really awesome.
