I always suck at MP transformations, and Tracks was no different. In fact, I thought it was a lot fiddlier than previous MPs. There were times where I thought I'd break something (trying to pull out the arm joints in the centre of the torso, or just opening up the legs where they pegged together at the front). But overall, he still looks great.
Together with the other Autobots, he looks great. I still the think the transformations of the Lambor, Nissan, and Lancia are a better design, with things that just plug in place better.
I also adjusted the shin panels slightly so that he doesnt have that bow-legged look. Now just looking forward to Ironhide and Ratchet to join the core Autobot cast!
Here's my review of the new Transformers Masterpiece MP-25 Tracks. A beautiful alt mode, but the transformation is a little fiddly, with a transformation sequence and bot mode that isn't as elegant as the previous Lambor, Nissan, and Lancia designs. But still, a new MP mold is always a great thing, so definitely happy to have him in the collection! Hope you can check out the review
My third Fans Toys figure after Tesla and Grenadier. The built quality is consistently high with Fans Toys that's for sure! This reissue FT-03T darker version is perhaps a little too dark for my cartoon tastes. I should've stuck with the standard FT-03 that is more cartoon accurate, although for G1 toy fans, this darker colourway is perfect.
The forearm swap out was a little more delicate and fiddly than I would've liked. An appropriate screwdriver is a must to not strip the screws!
But after the swap and getting the hose in the proper orientation, Quakewave does look pretty fantastic.
With MP-29 Shockwave on the way though, I am having buyers remorse for picking up the reissue. If I had know MP-29 was on the way, I would not have preordered this reissue FT-03.
I guess it'll make for a nice comparison once the Takara version releases next year, because that thing looks frickin awesome!
Here's my look at the new Fans Toys FT-03T reissue, this time in the darker purple colourway. Overall the build quality continues to impress from Fans Toys. I still think the Takara MP-29 Shockwave looks better, but doubtful they can beat FT on the build quality. Will be an interesting comparison that's for sure
Got there surprisingly painlessly unlike some others who got Andras earlier. But here's to you X-Transbots for making a bloody overly complicated ankle and foot transformation lol (love those fingers though!)
I did it fairly easily the first time, but then trying to transform the bloody ankles was an absolute bitch when I did it for the review!! If you want to see my fumbling my way through the most goddamn overly complex transformation sequence, click through to check it out lol!!
Great to finally complete the original Seeker trio. But there are a few things that disappoint with this new Thundercracker. Video review will be up soon!
For the price, it's a pretty disappointing and lazy release, with some annoying QC issues. But I still am glad to finally have the original Season 1 trio of Seekers in the collection. Stay tuned for the video review where I go through the points that annoy me the most!
The new wave of Combiner Wars Legends class figures are pretty good! Shockwave is by far the best, and perhaps is the best Legends figure in the CW line so far! Video reviews coming soon
Well it's the first day of the new year, so it was definitely time for me to put up a collection update video. I missed the Q2 and Q3 collection updates that I normally do, so here's the 2015 End of Year collection summary.
Definitely a big year in terms of 1/6th scale, Transformers Masterpiece, and some awesome 6" scale figures too!
Should be another big year in 2016, but will definitely be a bit more selective in what I buy and keep from now on! Hope you can check it out, and happy collecting in 2016 and beyond!
