General advice, really. I've only been playing for a week or two now.

Here's a link to my team, since I noticed people were doing that. http://www.seibertron.com/heavymetalwar ... p?id=44515

Well, I haven't been playing that long myself, but I seem to at least be staying even and not posting constant losses, so, some observations:

1. Pick missions where either the sides will end up evenly matched or your side has a slight advantage. Look at the other characters stats/levels as well as the raw numbers. (Of course, you could pick missions where your team has an overwhelming advantage, but that's not much fun, IMHO. I only do that if there's nothing better open at the time. YMMV.)

2. Take advantage of Level 0's no-cost repairs.

2a. Try to stockpile a decent cache of Energon before levelling anyone up.

2b. Stagger levelling up your characters. Level one or two, wait until they "find their feet", then level up others.

3. Keep some of your characters as brawlers/rammers so you don't have to buy weapons for everybody.

4. Concentrate your XP at first into a tactic, its synergy stat, and one or two other complementary stats.

I suppose some of those are moot since everyone got a boatload of Energon, but I prefer to operate as if I didn't get the bonus, anyway.

All very good advice. The only one I'd take issue with was the first - you should always be willing to jump in and help your outnumbered comrades.

I've been trying to, since I went from "Hey what's this?" to lurker, to now trying to participate on the boards and such.

What did you just start villainy this week?
*stabs Whiner-tron in the base of his neck with a syringe, pushing the plunger in. He wakes up duct taped and tied to a chair hours later in a darkened room. His eyes are taped open and his head is restrained so he can't look anywhere else but forward*

My name is Animus, and I'm here to make every last Autobot and Maximal suffer. And I'll make an example of this sad excuse of a Decepticon to drive the point home. He's one of my allies by all right, so if I'm willing to do this to him imagine what my team's going to do to yours.

*puts in the Spicegirls movie, Transformers Cybertron, and Howard the Duck in a 5 disc DVD player and forces Whiner-Tron to watch them*

The moral of the story Whiner-Tron, is evil isn't always a blunt instrument. It's often times a tool. Why go for the kill or the maim when you can make your target suffer. *leans forward and whispers into your ear* And they all will suffer.
