Even the crap that was Beast Machines, RiD 2000, and the Unicron Trilogy are bitter than this garbage. It literally has ZERO redeeming qualities. None.
The animation is crap, the story is crap, the voice acting is terrible, the dialogue is atrocious.
Don't even dare compare Beast Machine to this mess: sure it was a stupid, preachy and nonsensical show. Sure it ruined the character of just about every Beast Wars survivor safe maybe Cheetor and sure the design were atrociously weird but at least, dear **** Primus, it at least tried to be something.
You're right, I should have compared it to the filth that was Beast Wars
Intentionally flaming comments won't be tolerated. Thank you.
I'm sorry I didn't realize stating a fact was intentionally flaming, my apologizes

you saying that makes me laugh about the 2007 movie.
Megatron can fly through the cold of space but freezes in antartica (& people using fire extinguishers)
The problem with the Antarctic and Fire Extinguishers isn’t cold, it’s Moisture. Water is not a nice thing to machines.

True and it's also been proven that space isn't so much cold as it is a lack of heat.
Whifflefire wrote:I always assumed that any instance of 'choking' was actually attempted decapitation. And somebody mentioned earlier that clenching the neck would also restrict nutrient (energon) flow as well as sensory information from the brain module. Transformers can inhabit atmosphere-less conditions of space because they are solid. Presumably, their 'veins' are insulated to prevent the liquid energon from boiling (Space is not cold, the vacuum effect separates molecules so much temperature is not really possible in space as we think of it). Damage to the neck, a relatively small joint, may cause exposure of the energon to the vacuum. I would imagine there is an automatic repair response to this in a cybertronian's body, but there could still be energon lost. Due to the neck's proximity to the head, the boiling energon would dissipate through the mouth, eliciting a 'coughing' response.
Even though they don't need to breathe, a transformer still has a mouth for consumption and communication, functions that are closely tied to vital organs, and probably the only natural access point to one's inner components (why a head usually does not convert itself, but is stored away in alternate mode). There would have to be filters to clear out foreign material. Water has been depicted on Cybertron in several continuities, or at the very least would have had come into cybertronian contact before, so it is likely that it would be adapted for. (Why Perceptor can be drowned is because the act was too quick for his systems to react, and in a panic he was unable to activate them because the liquid had already entered his veins, and energy was being diverted to removing it via ejection - his coughing after he resurfaced.)
As for a 'bot being able to withstand the pressure of seven or so miles worth of water pressure to reach the bottom of the Laurentian Abyss, Transformers' metal (Is "Transformium" a recognized term?) is much denser and stronger than most (all?) metals on Earth.
Plausible?

The Wiki settled on "living metal" as a catch-all term (and I discovered awhile ago that Simon Furman himself actually--and coincidentally--once used this term in at least one of his stories).Whifflefire wrote:Transformers' metal (Is "Transformium" a recognized term?)

That's what I like about this theory! It kind of accounts for both kinds of choking - the Roddy-Cron-headlocking-Sludge kind, where information/energon is being inhibited; and the Perceptor-getting-dunked kind, where a foreign liquid is contaminating/inhibiting the energon or information flow since valves or whatever didn't close in time. (I'd think of that like a human not having a chance to breathe before having their head submerged, making it much more likely for them to choke straight away.)william-james88 wrote:But the choking we were referring to from the begining was perceptor choking because he was being submerged, which is very different to what we are all talking about.

'Tis also a rather fascinating article, crafted by TF uber-fan Chris McFeely.

Thanks, I'm glad you appreciate it! Next is to figure out how Transformers can fart.

Overlord and Rodimus Cron finally confront our heroes, while Optimus Primal makes a tough decision that changes the course of the battle. Alas, having found Megatron, Overlord is determined to get his revenge.

Edit- Okay I got it to work finally. That was some pretty crazy stuff. Still grumpy about last weeks episode so my expectations are kinda low I guess. IDK. Did enjoy those stealthy moves by Primal. I won't say too much.![]()
Speaking of last episode. I'm also kinda wondering if Victorion will come back somehow because Pyra Magna's actual head is in her chest when she is in combined mode. At least in her toy form - which is pretty darn show accurate. Also she didn't turn grey like the (most) the other TFs that died PotP did. In the IDW comics Transformers do survive being beheaded so long as their sparks are intact so the same could be possible. Though considering that characters I like seem to die I don't have high hopes. Victorion, we hardly knew you, though we wanted to so please don't be dead for real!
Okay, it's time for me to go to bed. Zzz!

Primal scales the ceiling like a real monkey... except there's nothing for him to actually GRAB onto up there, so he ends up looking more like Spider-Man. Also, I guess he can't fly in this show.
