Nah, I think you guys are expecting a bit too much from this.Burn wrote:o.supreme wrote:Maybe all of Cullen and Nelson's dialogue are just lines ripped straight from TF:TM audio, and Dorn and Wheaton is just audio from old ST:TNG episodes
Scene: Fortress Maximus charges at *unknown Giant Evil Robot* "TODAY, Is a Good day to DIE!!!"
...given the quality of Combiner Wars, this is sadly quite possible.

o.supreme wrote:The Combiners probably wont have any speaking lines, or just flashbacks/reused CW footage (thus the reason Voice Credits have to appear). Also how is Starscream around? I literally have not watched this since the final episode was uploaded. I thought he died at the end under Metroplex Hand.

Kurona wrote:Peter Cullen is a little over-used to say the least. He's in all the live-action movies, he's in both Aligned cartoons, now he's in this, I'm pretty sure he's done half a dozen minor roles as well... basically every Optimus voice in the last 10 years bar Animated has either been done by him or eventually been done by him in the case of Machinima. And he's damn good at it, but it would be a little nice if just for once someone else was allowed to be Optimus for more than five seconds.
I actually vastly prefer both Garry Chalk and David Kaye to him. Sue me

Like Combiner Wars, sophisticated storytelling reveals more than meets the eye
As the Combiner Wars cartoon pretty much focused primarily on non-Combiners, I'm not holding my breath for the Titans Return cartoon to focus all that much on either the Titans or the Titan Masters, even if Fort Max and Emissary have big name voice credits.WreckerJack wrote:I'm kinda exited. I know there is some pessimism out there but I really like the Combiner Wars toys. I would be so happy to see characters I don't see enough of. Please hasbro, bring Sky Shadow and Hardhead to life! I want to know their story. It would be SO cool to see Sky Shadow as some kind of space pirate.

I think you might have way too many high hopes for this show.Prime Target wrote:Ohhhhh Judd is voicing Hot Rod and Peters back in form YayyyyyGood to see Windy, Megs ,Menasor and the Mistress of Flame are returning from CW (gotta rewatch it before TR comes out tho) as I actually liked them in that show with the same voices nice! I wonder if Fort Max is gonna finally get some character and screentime as he had no much of either back in G1. Emissary appearing in the cast list is interesting since he's gonna be the first Titan Master outside of Promotional material to get proper screen time and God forbid actual character
I'm actually looking forward to seeing how this will turn out and I hope it won't flop as much as CW did (although I personally think that a majority of the previous shows hate is undeserved). I also hope Victorion returns as she both didn't get enough screentime in CW and has received very little character before or since the same applies with the Torchbearers.

I'll set my expectations low.
That way I'll either be pleasantly surprised, or I get to laugh at you.
Either way, Burn wins.

You know I am trying to rib everyone with Dad jokes right?

Sabrblade wrote:I'm surprised practically no one here has brought up Jason returning as Megatron, who was like the one and only really good, if not great, thing about the Combiner Wars cartoon.
Jon Bailey did fine as Optimus, but he's done better, much better, as Optimus in his own unofficial works, than he did in Combiner Wars. Marnocha's Megatron, however, was a pure joy and delight to behold.
