I... could be interested in this.
Especially after seeing IDW's take on the character.

According to the rep that was setting it up, the core figure is a heavily retooled custom based on the RTS Prime mold. The biggest being how the sholder assembly works and the fact that theor retool has ratcheting sholder joints.
Unfortunately that's all the info I could get before he got bombarded with qurstions about Computron.
Cheers for the info. So more than likely a figure that will be coming with the trailer as a complete package???

That makes me feel better about this guy and their Nemesis set. Will probably go and cancel my pre-order for TFCC Scourge. Again.

If it's anything like Battle Tanker, it does need support.

Wow I had some typos in that post. The way the rep was making it sound was that it was indeed going to be a whole package.

Re: Maketoys Project Angel (Nova Prime?)
I'd probably buy this if it came in a more interesting color scheme. All that bland white really turns me off. I get that it's supposed to represent a particular character, but I don't read the comics, so it means nothing to me (nor do I accept the whole "line of Primes" thing in my personal canon, which is based primarily on the G1 cartoon-Beast Wars/Beast Machines).

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I am that which is, which was, and is yet to come.
And you will know my name is MEGATRON when I lay my vengeance upon you!

This looks cool. Having him and their Scourge side by side on a display will look really nice.

Not sure I need (or want) this, but if MT can show him standing unaided, then I will consider him.

All the extra back pieces may be part of the trailer, just like Battle Tanker. But it would be great to see more about this guy at some point. And whatever is going on with that custom G2 Prime underneath it all.

I really like this guy, but I'm not sure where I'll put him. Will he be an Autobot or Decepticon on my shelves?
Time will tell.

He might just have to stand alone in the middle of a shelf.
Because, come on, he needs a Jhiaxus.

The way the shoulder armour is separate pieces from the actual arms, this is definitely looking like a MakeToys custom base figure.
Excellent.

This looks like another upgrade armor - legs look the same, the crotch piece looks the same...

Yes, it does. But it's the figure that is donning the armour which might be scratch-built that we're discussing, too!

Which is accurate to the character, since as we know, Nova/ Nemesis Prime has a smaller bot-mode and the bot we keep seeing is actually his armored or powered up form.
This looks fantastic, even if it's not very accurate to the comic design.
From what I can tell, the inner robot, while obviously sharing a lot of design ques and elements with Geenrations G2 Prime, does seem to have a lot of own things going for it. The shoulders seem to be different, plus the legs and arms seem to be much larger and well more "muscular".
Still, kinda wish they would have designed it from the ground up to look more like the comic instead of basing it on Tanker and G2 Prime, but it still looks freaking awesome.

How does it not look like the comic?

The only big difference is in the legs, which in the comic version are formed by the cab. Oh, and the wheels on the forearms.

that's my point, I'm not saying it looks nothing like the comics, just that had they designed it from the ground up instead of basing it on G2 Prime and their Tanker trailer, they could have made it closer to the comic.
Don't get me wrong, this looks awesome, but I really like the arms and legs on the comic design.

I agree with you. Seems like they could paint fake windshields on the shins/feet to make it even more comicbook accurate.

Ah, yes, gotcha.

I'm just trying to think how it would work, though, having a trailer combine with the inner bot, and still keep the cab legs.

The Figueroa sketch doesn't shed much light on this.

That sketch looks like ti was loosely based off of Energon Rodimus, with the exception of the arms coming from the wheels instead of the shoulders like on Rodimus.

Sure it's similar to Energon Rodimus, but only just barely. The cab parts for the legs are upside down for instance, on Nova the windshield forms the knees while for Rodimus it forms the feet.
