Well, at least it is in Miami. Last year, in recognition for his work in both Bad Boys and Pain and Gain, the city of Miami-Dade County put forth a motion to have June 5th 2012 officially recognized as Michael Bay Day. It seems that decision on that motion got postponed until today when it was announced that, yes, June 5 will be Michael Bay Day!
Details are sketchy on how the city will celebrate, but fireworks would make sense; lots and lots of fireworks.

AS someone who has stuck his keyboard in his mouth many a time, I can understand where the comment was attempting to go... However, this close to such a horrendous event...barely 7 days removed from it...it really is in poor taste. I understand, but still say not a good idea. I highly recommend taking Burn's advice and posting an apology, just for the sake of those injured and killed if not your own peace of mind.
And to those offended, please take the high road and don't result to threats, namecalling, and slander. It is an emotional event. I had tears in my eyes when they announced it. But we've all stepped in it at one point or another. Glass houses and such...I know I've been warned many a time. Just allow the bloke to wipe the s*^t off his shoes and move on.
That being said, I'm still stuck on the fact that Miami intended to do this in 2012 and it JUST NOW got passed. Do they always move this slow in Miami? Is it the heat? The beach? THe plastic boobies and spray tan on South Beach? A glacier called...it said hurry up!

You know what's neat? I live in Minnesota, where we are stuck in an unending, miserable winter that has already taken up entirely too much of my precious motorcycle season, and yet I still have good reason to say "Thank God I don't live in Florida."
