As for articulated, I wouldnt know where to start. Wouldnt it just be all MPs?
How 'bout beast machines night viper, armada Unicron, and, maybe even the cw gestalts?

Looks like you have better judgment than me on this. If ever you wish to make that list, I would be ok with it. I just dont want to have to count all the joints and come out with a number and then look at the five with the highest number. There isnt anything subjective about a list like this.

I don't own enough figures to do that, I would certainly be called out on it; especially since I don't own any of the mp series; but I can throw out ideas here and there

Never mentioned and AMAZING idea. The only thing is that I also have a list of top Giant Transformers... and I feel a few might get repeated. I'll see if I can diversify them.

1. G1 Omega Supreme
2. G1 Galvatron
3. G1 Trypticon
4. G1 Shockwave
5. G1 Skylynx
And this is what makes these Transformers and G1 the best!
I think RID Air Attack Primal is a glaring omission and beats probably all of them aside from Omega Supreme.............As for articulated, I wouldnt know where to start. Wouldnt it just be all MPs?

Masterpiece my ass, none of them have cool electronics, action features, spring loaded projectiles, motors, etc.
Articulation is over-rated. We did not care about that as kids, at least not most kids. When did we lose that child-like imagination of playing with our 80's toys that had little to no articulation, but had gimmicks that wowed of for hours on end and was the reason we asked our parents to buy us those toys.

Toys that, although nobody was buying them, are actually pretty good and could be great without the stigma of doing nothing but taking up shelf space.
