No it's not, there is no locking mechanism in the launcher.

There are however two grooves on either side of the missle.

Like the look of that Wheeljack set, but not sure I'd spring for it. I like the cartoon look with just a little bit of detail.
The Prowl one would be a fun way to distinguish my Hasbro and Takara versions, may look to pick that up.

Licensing would still have been a problem though. Here's the loophole though: by outsourcing to Ocean Designs who may already have the proper licenses (or have an easier time getting one), Hasbro has no need to acquire a separate license for their own sticker sheets.
