This looks fantastic, I just love it when Takara does things like this. Way back with MP-05 I ordered from a Canadian retailer who crossed the border to ship from within the US, no problems. Hopefully, the retailer is still around, or I can find an alternate because having my figure pre-fondled is a major pet peeve.

I stayed out of this when it was all speculation, but now I'ma weigh in. His torso looks like its formed by 6 BILLION moving parts. That's terifying. His legs look hella clean. His emblem looks like it's tampo'd and not a sticker! But it also looks like its the "toon" version... not sure how I feel about that. And because of the jacked up movie death pieces, I might have to buy two of these buggers.

Now, do I sell Apollyon? :-?

Aside from scale, I thought there were issues with the original Megatron and Rodimus that made the refresh necessary, for lack of a better word. I don't have either, but I got that sense from following the forums. I do have MP Grimlock and again, aside from scale, it's wonderful, which I believe is an opinion shared by many. Wouldn't that make it less likely that it'll get refreshed?

I'm not saying it's necessary - aside from, of course, scale - but it is the only pre-convoy remake Masterpiece that hasn't been remade. And since Rodimus and Megatron started this little pattern...

Friends. Don't get crazy. Keep your third party Megatron (that goes for all versions and for anyone who has one) and get the Takara as well if you want it. And this is from an Apollyon owner that has had issues. There's room for both in my collection, and I KNOW SHAJ has the room.

I'm hanging with Apollyon right now. He and Fort Max. We are organizing accessories and instructions. It's a pretty good Friday.

Don't feel bad bee. I'm a grown up, I bought something because I liked it and wanted it with my own money KNOWING that it was a character that would HAVE to be redone by someone (3rd Party or official). I don't regret it. I'd do it again.

Wow...
I'm impressed. Although the head looks a little large, and the torso a little short, it still looks amazing, and I will not pass on this.
This is the ONE reason I can be okay with a couple combiners I really want not being released sooner than later.

As someone mentioned way earlier, that profile view is absolutely incredible!!!!
I will not be passing on this, and with having MP Soundwave already, now I'll be considering getting MP Shockwave late winter/early spring.
Those have always been the 3 MP's I've wanted in my collection.

Can't wait to have Laserbeak perched on Meg's forearm.

With all the talk of the various 3P MP Megatrons in comparison to this one, could someone create a comparison chart (like the kind that Cyberpath and Logan often make) of all the 3P MP Megatrons with both this new official one and MP-5, and maybe with the cartoon model? Cuz that would be awesome to see them all together and how they all compare to each other. ;)^
