I just cant stomach megatron as a tank unless he is in G2 colors. All that freaking back kibble even in a comic drawing is horrible. Just leave him as a gun. Whats next, the seekers as cars ? (oh yeah they did that too in alternity)

Think having a G-1 Megatron robot mode with a tank is awesome. As TF Marvel G-1 Comics Megatron was shown to have a tank mode. Desire to have this toy in G-1 Megatron colors Grey and black colors with red highlights. As I never cared for the G-2 Megatron green and purple colors.

Oh god, no. If you did it roughly based on the G2 colours maybe (a bit like Armada Megatron) but actually the shade they used? Hell no. That green and purple was painful to look at.

...Dude, he barely has any back kibble beyond the treads. The Seekers have more prominent back-kibble than him.

Megatron turning into a gun is the stupidest idea ever. Seriously. I mean, an artillery piece I could understand, because at least it's a standalone object, but a handgun? As I've mentioned before, it's like Darth Vader turning into his own lightsaber for a Storm Trooper to wield, or Oda Nobunaga shape-shifting into his own katana that would be used by some hapless ashigaru- that is to say, mind-numbingly stupid.

I mean, what seems more like a fitting alternate mode for a mighty warlord whose very name inspires fear- an armoured, invincible rolling fortress of a tank with a mighty cannon on its turret...or a weedy little pistol?

Whats next, the seekers as cars ? (oh yeah they did that too in alternity)

Yeah, and loose doors aside they were pretty great toys from what I've seen. Also a bad example as the Seekers becoming F-15s made sense, whilst Megatron turning into a pistol didn't.

Anyway, I like this, possibly more than the Bold Forms version. Love the homage to the vintage toy with the rased detailing on the chest.

I'd kinda like to see a remold of this with Armada colours and his head and chest retooled to homage Armada Megatron.

I was excited at 1st, but the color scheme and the idiotic back kibble/front treads ruined it.

there's been no color scheme shown. that picture is just a fan playing with the picture we were shown and adding color himself.

The colour scheme as pointed out is just a mock up by a fan, but it's close. The entire figure is incredibly faithful to the original design from the comics. So I don't understand how they ruined anything. That's like complaining that MP Wheeljack looks like his G1 self.

Man I hoped we'd get something new on this, but all we get is a digibash.

This is NOT War Within Megatron. Not all silver tanked Megatron are the same. For that matter, not all gun-based Megatron are made equally either.

Very true, but I'd kinda like him for my War Within Megatron. He'd be better than the Titanium version.... :saint:

Don't care for this either. Think it looks too Voyager tiny and undersculpted generic looking.

Looking more Forward to the Shadow Samurai League LF-01 Vetron Megatron. That i'm hoping is a Leader scaled toy.

That's not what I meant. Being faithful to the source doesn't help when the source itself is crap.
I mean, it's just my opinion. I don't like the design at all.
This actually reminds me of the Titanium War Within Fallen figure.

I generally find "H" tanks to be lazy design, but as it is from the source material, it works for me.

I could see this as a Megatron on my shelf.

He's shorter than Orion, if his comparison shot with 2006 Classics OP is anything to go by.

Still interested. Whether I pick him up depends on the price point.

Love the robot design, wish it was a bigger Leader scale toy. Think this is how Generations 30th Leader Megatron's robot design should have looked like.

Love the sword, Think the design seems like a loose update towards the sword. That the 1985 Takara Gun Megatron toy came packaged with in Japan.
