Ok, ok, am I the only person who noticed Megs optics went wide in pain and shock, and saw his optics flash blue in the center very breifly...and i swear i heard him say, albit distorted and i quote what I heard: (**stands for distorted sounds he made) "P**me**pl**se**fo**iv**m**E**aH**ah**AH" then he drops dead. now I have freakishly good hearing(I live on the second floor of my apartment in NYC and I hear the people on the street like they were standing next to me)and so does my Mom, who actually saw the movie with me AND LIKED IT which is the equivilent to Jesus(or Optimus) knocking on your door and saying your his twin brother and taking you out for brotherly bonding, who said she heard it too and her hearing is better than mine. So when you have time see if its fact or if I need to see a doctor.

My mom saw the movie actually twice with me last year and liked it...every email she sent me after that for several months said "I AM OPTIMUS PRIME" at the end of each message...I thought I was bad.

Anyway, I Tivo'd the HD version of the transformers movie last night, I watched the first few minutes when Blackout attacks the base wow! it was approaching Imax quality in a way but I can't wait to watch it, I might be able to sneak it in before mothers day dinner tonight.

I'll listen for that at the end and look for his eyes changing colors but I never noticed it before.

remeber its really breif and his words are messed up from the distorting but its there(or I'm seeing an eye doctor and an ear doctor)

I think you should make those appointments!

I just got done watching it and the only thing I noticed was when megatron was dying his eyes turned to an orange color then went out but definitely not blue.

The only real blue effect was from when the allspark was being pumped into megatrons chest but it never flashed over his eyes, even if it was blue to you it must be your tv set or your tint is way off lol...Optimus then says "You left me no choice, brother" but megatron just grunts and groans, nothing discernible that I could hear.

I just finished the movie(again) myself, the blue wasn't his optics it was my TV. As for what he said I think it was just me cause I didn't hear it again, its strange I swear I heard it that one time

So he's supposed to say "Prime, please forgive me" ? I can sort of make out "Prime" and "forg-" but he doesn't seem to say anything comprehensible. I also doubt he'll ask Prime for forgiveness in the few seconds he's roasted to death. The screams are dying cries of agony, nothing more. Plus, Megatron would kill himself before he'd ask Prime to forget about his evil stuff.

I can explain that easily with 4 things:
1. their brothers, as in blood related.

2. has anyone stoped to wonder why Megatron went psycho when he was a fair, just, yet firm leader.(I smell outside influence)

3. his life is flashing before his eyes so to speak, maybe he realized what he'd done.

4. to quote #2, maybe what ever made him psycho was healed and he regained control before he died.(the allspark does heal things right)

#2 When did they say megatron was fair and just ? In the flashback scene that optimus showed sam and mikaela in the alley megatron was just as psychotic and vicious when he speared that one guy and I bet all the other bots that were left hanging upside down were his doing as well...he was the only decepticon in the scene.

#3 His life was flashing before his eyes ? maybe but after tens of thousands of years at least that we know that he's been in existence why would he have any doubts or second thoughts then...this version of megatron was a pure raw animal bent on one thing...his way or oblivion!

#4 The allspark heals things yes to a certain extent but not when it comes in contact with a robots spark...Prime knew this already which is why he was willing to sacrifice himself by pushing the cube into his chest.

Also, facing death can change a person, as can coming close to dying and not having much longer to live. I have witnessed this firsthand, from my grandfather. He was a cruel, horrible man who liked being mean and bossing people around. Everyone was scared of him and he ruled his home with an iron fist. When his health began that last decline, he... changed. All of a sudden he wasn't as mean anymore. If anything, he seemed kind of sorry. It was as if he knew the end was coming and wanted to use what little time he had left to at least TRY to make things right.

Exactly what I was thinking.

the fair and just thing look it up they did say it I think it was Prime.

Megatron was Lord High Protecter before he went nuts, think about it something or someone messed with his head.

Frustrated ? No, he was hell bent determined to get the allspark which is why he was crawling on the ground to get to it, if he was so frustrated he would have given up and flown away by then.

Maybe so but megatron made no attempts either in gestures,acts or things we can without a 100% doubt say we heard him say...this post was based on something someone thought they heard him say so before everyone starts anthropomorphizing megatron lets just deal with the facts at hand of the movie please and not color it with their own lives personal dealings.

Prime states in the opening voice over that cybertron used to be a peaceful and benevolent society but does not state that megatron was a part of that happening.

If it turns out this is the case in the next movie fine then but for now it does not say otherwise.

no it wasn't in the movie it was in the game or comic, something in that area.

Megatron once ruled Cybertron side-by-side with Optimus Prime. For generations, the two ruled in peace. Megatron was firm, but Prime was fair, creating a nice, even balance. Sadly, he got a jonesing for the All Spark and the war started.

Similarly, in the Autobots version of the same DS game, it is noted that Megatron "took the spark" of his and Optimus' father. Presumably, this is a reference to both his cannibalistic practises as well as the fact that both he and Prime are in fact brothers... at least in the Cybertronian sense.

And something that also bugs me and apparently others:
Optimus and Starscream each get a toy that transforms into a gun, and he doesn't...seriously, WHAT THE H**L?!

His arms turn into his cannon, he doesnt need a sidearm

The problem with wiki, all types is anyone can go and edit those to their whim therefore I never rely on that as a true source of information for anything and video games as a referrence ? The Xbox 360 version made no mention of any of this...megs just wanted the allspark to create his evil army and destroy the autobrats, it followed the movie a lot closer but still took some liberties so since they all appear to be their own seperate universes I won't really rely fully on those as source material either, same with comics, there's just too many inconsistencies in the TF franchise.

True enough but with his disinformation campaign after his pc was hacked and the script leaked on the first movie who knows if he'd be telling the truth..my money is on probably not.

I don't blame him for doing that though.

oh and I just found out that before the war Megatron and Optimus were called Optimus Prime(same as always) and Megatron PRIME they had the same last name type thing(this is based on info I found online).

I had heard of people saying Megatron ate sparks...I haven't seen anything like that.

In one of the earlier drafts of the script, he was going to eat Jazz's spark after attacking him, but this detail never made it into any of the actual media.
