For the 0-3 Quint missions, which is better, the Trip Dip for nutralizing the Overchage tactics, or the Deflector for their weapons, the magistrates, as well as any "other" surprises we may have with us...

Both are worth a little less than nothing in those missions, the Deflecters aren't good against the allicons bite, the Magistrates tentacle, or the Charge drones' ram/strafe.
If you choose the TD, those aren't good against the allicons, the magistrate, and the Charge's normal attack.
That missions aren't good. If the level of the enemy would be appropiate to their stats, than maybe, bt so...

Even if all those 15 participants were level 3's you stillget slagged bad.........so if minicons ar involved i'd go wth the one that provides ten tons of Electrum armor. But still...........the Quintesson forces are way too strong....You are better off hiting missions 1-3 or 2-4.
