Things are looking a bit dire for the bots in new MMC-verse, aren't they? Nova Prime already has Sixshot and Predaking and now possibly Overlord on their side, and on the opposing side we have 3+1 fembots(assuming Solus isn't a ghostly figure) and Impactor :-?

Would like MMC Carnifex to be Two separate vehicles, Tank and Jet. That can combine to form a Robot. Like the 1988 Overlord toy had.

Think the base mode pic shown a few days ago. Might be a hint it separates into Two vehicles.

Similar to Armmada Tidalwave's Combined vehicle mode that can transform into the robot mode without breaking up. Maybe the MMC Carnifex toy can do the same. Where their a Jet and Tank that merge to form a combined vehicle mode that can then Transform into the Carnifex robot mode. Without breaking up into parts.

yeah looking at the 2 main seperate parts on base mode one has the treads that will be his legs so i would asume the other part has treads , im gonna say both parts with the gun will make a tank , also and the main section has his shoulder spikes so thats clearly the top half and pretty much looks like a jet anyway.

I think you're right there. I find it odd how they've laid out the tank parts as part of the base though. The right hand side looks like that part of the tank is lying on its side as I think the black bit on the top is the treads. If that's the case then the tank half on the left hand side of the base mode is probably standing upright with the black treads on the other side of the pic. The gun with the grey plastic underneath probably attaches on top and helps connect the two bits together. It would also mean, if you look at Overlord's legs in the sketch, that the purple bits on the tank pieces are Overlord's toes, with the grey plastic beings the heels. The view of the left hand side of the base from that pic looks like the inside of Overlord's left leg.

I wonder whether the jet's canopy on Overlord's arm is fixed and swivels round or whether it's a case of partsforming. The nature of this figure is pretty much partsforming anyway, if it's an homage to the original toy.

As long as the Jet and Tank vehicles are coherent, I could care less about the base mode. It's nice to have, but not necessary, IMHO.

At any rate, I'm confident MMC can do Overlord justice.

I like that this appears to be including the Powermaster gimmick, complete with the two chest doors. This keeps me interested for sure.

Now, however, I am starting to wonder (read:worry) about the cost of this...

I'm not sure about a powermaster gimmick. The doors seem to reveal plain old missile launcher bays.

She's a hottie musician but let me just spell it out for him - Trainor's first hit single is titled "All About That Bass", which is pronounced just like "base", a part of Overlord's transformation.
