Please can you describe what MMC Carnifex looked like. Did you see any alt modes? Did you see a jet and tank alt modes? any gimmicks like powermasters, spring loaded pop out activated weapons? Did you see the toy in colors,what colors were they? Did you see any weapons and accessories that looked like the 1988 stuff. Was there a city-base mode?

Isnt there always one guy who has a hidden camera in his hat or pen pocket ? Where are the pictures ?

it's basically doing for IDW's Overlord what Hexatron did for IDW's Sixshot. No city mode or powermasters.

edit: they made mention of it being a little bigger than Hexatron, so I'd think probably not too much more price-wise. If they do it for around $150 I'll probably be very happy to pre-order.

I always considered Hexatron to be a G1 homage, staying true to his original modes with traditional Sixshot colors.

If Carnifex is missing his G1 features than this is bound to be a disappointment for me. Although a fan-made base mode will probably be imagined and enhanced by a 4th party add on set. I really have to see more.

Overlord with no base mode will be quite lame if you ask me. Was looking forward to ANY decent Overlord since the original is the only Powermaster I lack.

I'll be happy with two alt modes.

I hope this is priced the same as Hexatron around £130 , if Carnifex is only slightly taller i don't need to be paying more than £140.

This is something I really want. So i'm guessing it will cost around $150 at most USA import sites. I'd be willing to go as high as $180 for this, doubt it will go this high.

Dug out my old IDW TF LSOTW comics. to see if Overlord in the IDW comics had a Jet and tank alt modes that combiner to form a Robot, It does.

MMC's Carnifex pic from a while ago showing him sitting in a throne chair. Seems to be taken and slightly re-drawn from the IDW TF LSOTW comics pages.

Looking forward to buying this Carnifex toy but fear it will get released in 2016-2017. Due to MMC's slow release pace and so much on their plate right now. Like all of those Fembots, DJD and their repainted retools.

Would have liked to see a Carnifex test show or art sketches from the recent overseas event. Having no shown test shots of Carnifex yet makes me fear this toy will take 1 to 2 years for MMC to release.

Maybe they've taken a new approach and when pics starts to come out it's already done, instead of taking everyone through the long long process of toy development like they do with their other releases.

i think like the other teasers around this time of year from mmc this will be the overlord weve waited for just disguised in hexatron .

Even from the early renders of him sitting in the chair it looked to be the hexatron body but i imagin the OV body will have a lot of new tooling.

Must be the April Fool's joke that eventually leads to the actual reveal.

Seriously though, bring on Overlord!

gonna have to be a major retool to get me to drop $$$ on overlord....

plus I like the thought of my phasesixers to be staggered in height. with sixshot being massive, black shadow as the small guy and overlord on par or a tad bigger than the likes of megatron and prime.

Guys, it's not a retool, it's not even an actual reveal, except for maybe the head and weapon.

This is MMC's idea of teasing the eventual official reveal. They post these April Fools' Joke teasers every year before revealing their hotly anticipated next release.

The first one they did teased a repaint of HOS Optimus Prime into Shockwave, and Ultra Magnus, that one was so successful and popular that they've been teasing their stuff that way ever since.

This pic just means we'll get to see a full reveal this week.

So did they finally retire the Steelian Scientist line-up of gags...?
