I had the original as a kid, still remember how to transform it into all six modes and everything, but I just didn't care for it. He lacked character in his 10 seconds on the show and all the altmodes are halfassed at best. In the IDW comics he became pretty cool but now he's coming out as I'm parring down my Classics collection as I get ready to move. I have a $95 credit at BBTS but ehh whatever.
If this came out 6 months ago I'd have probably bit the bullet and ordered it but now? Hard to get excited.

It'd be nice if all the other 3P stuff whose release dates have been constantly pushed back would arrive so I could ship already.

That's fine if you live in the U.S., but for me BBTS's PoL system works out much cheaper because in the end it costs about $5 - $6 international shipping per item.megatronus wrote:Arctorro wrote:I wish you hadn't posted this! That's why I like TFsource - once your stock/POL hits $150, it's free shipping all the way. There's no reason NOT to hit the ship button
But seriously, Hexatron is freaking magnificent. My only (minor) gripe is size - if he were 2 inches taller, he would scale perfectly with Masterpiece; if he were an inch shorter, he'd be ultra-class-sized and fit well into Classics. As it is, he will rule my Classics collection anyway... with an iron fist!

I should've also pointed out that I have twice ordered from them (in-stock items only) and they were fantastic, but only went with them because BBTS didn't have the same things instockmegatronus wrote:Being a New Yorker, I am admittedly unfamiliar with the nuances of international shipping
But, I'm glad BBTS' POL system works for you. I've found TFsource to be convenient for my state-side needs.
That said, I am excited for YOUR Hexatron to ship. You're going to love him. Total nerdgasm.

While TFsource has reduced international shipping at $150 that can still work out to anywhere from $20 - $100 per item depending on the cost of individual items.
Thought I just sum up why I prefer BBTS here so you understand why I force myself to wait like I am with Hexatron
From TFsource's FAQ's;
1) All you need to do to start a stack is have at least one preorder item in your cart when you checkout. You cannot start a stack with just instock merchandise in your cart.
When being hit with currency conversion fees this is not a good policy for international customers. Using PayPal for in-stock items doesn't incur that fee.
2) Only "Pay Later" orders are eligible for stack, you cannot "pay now" on any stack orders.
Same as first answer.
3) Once all items are instock in your stack, an order will automatically be generated and your credit card will be charged.
Not being able to leave the items to continue building up to further save on shipping sucks.
4) Customers have a limit on how many items they can stack, based on their past purchase history with TFsource. This prevents customers from continually adding to their stack and not paying.
Not sure what the deal is with this one, items should be charged as they are added. That way TFsource isn't put out and the customer doesn't get one massive bill as the stack is shipped
In the end TFsource is vastly inferior to BBTS thanks to their PoL system. BBTS could further improve things, but they are still the only option for international customers (as far as I'm concerned). I've saved boatloads of money by going with them and being patient
In a nut shell, I save a butt-load more on shipping with BBTS than TFsource.craggy wrote:okay. I don't even know what point you're making with the first bit there. And point 4) is a godsend. I've managed to get a number of items that I've not had money for at the time, which have sold out well before release thanks to this. Being able to pay for items when they come in stock or when I ship them is one of the main reasons I've gone with TFSource over (relatively) local company Kapow Toys. Since TFSource introduced the option of cancelling pre-orders with no penalty, you could also, in theory, add something to your stack that's not due for ages, in order to allow you to pick and choose what gets shipped when. I've not had to add stuff just for this reason, but the TF Go! combiner gift-set and MP Prowl have certainly helped make sure I don't have to worry about everything going in stock before I'm ready.

BBTS wrote:Hello,
Thanks so much for ordering from BigBadToyStore! We truly appreciate your patronage and we wanted to let you know there may be a shipping delay on your order. The delay is due to an all-time record amount of new product arriving at the same time last week (Metroplex, Star Wars Black, Marvel Legends, DC Direct, TF Generations, TMNT, Play Arts & much, much more). We apologize for the delay and we are working feverishly to get as many orders out the door as possible each day. We have pulled people from other departments to work in the warehouse, added new employees, and will be working overtime until we are current on orders. Your patience is greatly appreciated, and we are very sorry for the delay.
Sincerely,
Joel Boblit
