So todays the big day....I bet if I hit ship today, my pile doesnt ship until next monday because its huge ? Im not sure if I should hold out for the likely hasbro generations wave. I really want crosscut, but when I see wingblades face in person I think ill puke. Maybe I should just ship today and be greatful for a complete feral rex ? Decisions, decisions, decisions...

I'm in the same boat, and knowing that the Hasbro figures have been hitting some store shelves (dammit, Jetfire!) I also want to hold off a bit. But, the wait has gone on long enough. Talon, Tigris and a few others are in PoL then I need to ship and spend some quality time with Feral Rex.

Damn, this has been quite the ride (Jan'13).

Some other stuff's processing, too, for me. That cinches it. Sometime next week, my Predaking will be complete!

Their Catilla doesn't count for me.

Good news, the generations wave is processing in my bbts account too. So as soon as I get that e mail Im hitting ship. I havent seen boxes for anything else in my pre orders to signal else anything new dropping this week. I know chimungmung has haymaker and overslay in stock, but I dont need those asap. So I guess its time to hit ship...

The new Generations Deluxes are in but Windblade isn't shipping solo until October. Guess I'm shipping my POL without her.

I know what you mean, but I just waited almost 2 years for Talon, I can wait another month for Windblade. But I need the rest of my Predaking NOW.

If I had to guess what happened, it's probably that BBTS got too many orders for Windblade compared to everybody else, and either Hasbro wouldn't ship them enough stock to fill all of them in one go or they chose not to order enough because they want to clear out the less popular figs in the wave before they get more in. Either way, I lose.

Well, Windblade dropped into my POL unexpectedly at about 9:30 tonight. I've contacted BBTS to see if they can add her to my package before it ships. Fingers crossed!

On a side note, am I the only one here who doesn't like Wingblade's bulbous Geisha head ? When they say "fan made" character, I really got to question how the "fan" was chosen...

I'm fine with it, though I'd like it more if they've gone with the same style as Sarah Stone's version in the comics, which is slightly more towards animated/TFP.

Im not an avid comic book reader. So you are saying the actual character isn't really "fan made", just the aesthetic ?

Agreed Sarah Stone made the face looked good. on the toy the face looks okay.. definitely less animeish.. but the paint apps on the face is crisp and there's lots of it so its cool.

There were a series of polls last year where we could vote on the bot's gender, alt mode, color pattern, faction, and other elements of its appearance, personality, and backstory. Hasbro designers did the rest.

And I have to point this out.
This is Windblade, the fan-built bot.

This is Wingblade, the obscure 07 movie character.

Yes I agree. I do also like Sarah Stone's version much more.

Yes, it's "Windblade". She corrected that also in the comic book.

Back to topic.

Hit the "ship" yesterday but tomorrow is my last day of being home along and I don't think I will get the package by then. So guess I will just get those eyes rolling on me about that huge package.

The character is really really fan made, it's just that the initial design that was approved for toy production isn't exactly what the final updated design looks like.

Pic for easy comparison purposes.

PS: I love how we're all now talking about Windblade in FeralRex's thread, lol. Maybe if I ever get my hands on an extra I'd do a predacon custom with her

The wonderful folks at BBTS managed to snag my orders before they left and combine them, so Predaking's arms and Windblade should all be at my doorstep by next week. Huzzah!

I combined Talon last night.

LOVE IT!!!

I'm gonna ship Tigris, probably next month, so I'll be a one armed bandit for a while.

Personally, I like having a little while to enjoy the individual bots.
