A little troubling that the first figure up for pre-order is nowhere to be seen in prototype form, just renders.

My understanding is that Talon had to undergo a re-design. They put him up first to directly compete with the Beasticons.

At this point it's looking like Bovis will be the first one to actually see release, because of the aforementioned redesign they had to put Talon through.

Personally, I love this look. It very much reminds me of the G1 figure. I just hope it maintains good articulation.

I don't doubt the raw articulation. I doubt the ability to pose the legs without the figure falling over.

I don't know. I'm only going off what griffiths (the designer) said on TFW somewhere.

I don't know. I'm only going off what griffiths (the designer) said on TFW somewhere.

People were bitching about the alt-mode head being too small... so they redesigned it. That was a long time ago though... shouldn't have delayed him that long.

However, keep in mind we have a sixth member showing up who's supposed to replace Talon as an arm. That means Talon is supposed to integrate into the combiner another way as well... which probably depends a lot on the core figure being finished.

The info I read was that the sixth member would be a Saber-Toothed Cat and would be optional. Talon's wings would attach to the back and Talon as the arm. Or, we could use the Saber-Toothed Cat as the arm and Talon would form a bulkier backpack, filling out the back.

I haven't read anything differently in this thread. Perhaps there's more info over at TFW or elsewhere.

Render is different from actually having the figure in Resin. There were issues with it and so, they had to redesign some of the parts.

The angle and the lack of arms is throwing it all off. In the shot with giant the proportions don't look nearly as off.

That's still the case as far as we know. But what Mekatron said holds true. They have to make sure that Divebomb can connect smoothly to the back of Razorclaw, and if razorclaw's structure is still being finalized, they don't want to risk making more changes when one figure is out and another is not. (that is an interesting point I had not considered)
