Comic didn't do quite as well featuring the waves range, with merman and evil lyn being just there rather than involved in the story.

Doesn't seem like the knees have been made to look better unless covering them up with a sticker on the packaging counts as a fix

mini reviews:

Faker
They seem to have given up on the first young he-man head, now giving him the old throw back head whihc is on the newer release he-man figure (alternative head for battle armor he-man). Not a bad thing but it will be a bit hard for him to prretend he is he-man with a different face (I know, he's bright blue so what does it really matter).
Its going to be cheaper that getting this one over the powercon version with duplicat. It would have been greta if they gave him color change like in one of the images of the comic showing him half flesh/half blue. nice to have him though I much prefer s7 robot he-man as my faker just because that's how he appeared in the toon.

Fisto
The packaing has the yellow blurb that says includes comic but caftily avoids the blurb that says retro play because much like unflocked Panthor, there is no retro play with this figure. No waist punch and no arm punch making the orig 80's figure the winner (if articulation isn't counted). Once again a bit annoying how they havent made a small clip on the back of the armor to hold the sword. My fistos head is a bit loose as in that it will just lull to one side rather than holding a pose sometimes.

Evil
I have the 200X version, this is just a lazy repaint and not so sure it sells the awesomeness of 200X with a lesser sculpted figure. the plale white skin is kinda unnaturally white plastic that does look really good. I now have way more pale evil lyns than yellow so I might cave and pick up the yellow version for nostalgia. I'm sure they mentioned the knees were going to be improved on during that Pixel Dan thing but noooope.

Packaging art on all the figures is amazing so far, would be nice for another boook in the future that collects the artwork. characters appearing (possible hints at future waves) Stinkor, Jitsu, strydor, evil horse (but looks like it has a helmet this time or which ever one didnt no has), triklops LOP, duplicat and maybe me just being hopefull of the mini comic having snake mountain in it...

ok, so someone uploaded what they are calling "trailer #2" for MOTU Revelation, but it is not a trailer, it is actual leaked footage form the show. It is slowed down purposefully in hopes of not getting flagged. Not sure how long it will last:

Of course it pretty much confirms what everyone said, and Kevin Smith is going to look even worse now. I'm still giving the show a chance, but it's not looking good at this point.

*edit* So funny enough, a couple hours after this leaked, Netflix released the official Trailer, but it still doesn't have the scenes from the show that most people are going to object to.

Seemed fine to me. If anything I feel a little better about calling it a sequel to the Filmation series or the sequel to many MOTU stories for that matter.

As long as this ends leading into NA, which was the sequel series to Filmation. That’s the only thing that would bother me otherwise.

She-Ra only seems to exist within MOTU when mentioned or seen directly. Otherwise, she doesn't...

The point is, back in late 2019 some online video bloggers got inside information that she show was going to be all about Teela, and not He-Man. Kevin Smith attacked them and called them all liars. Now the truth is out, this show is in fact more about Teela than He-Man. Why did Kevin Smith lie? Why the bait and switch? If they had been honest from the outset, there would not be the online negativity that will now surround this series. Kind of sad really.

Indeed. I read some of the comments on the Smith video I posted on the previous page, stating that exact thing. As soon as he said the 'Revelation' title referred to "Teela's journey". It raised red flags for some people immediately.

If that's what he was going for all along, he could have achieved that to a better degree with NA's Mara. As both of the show's female leads became Queens by the end of the series.

I've spoken to a lot of Filmation fans over the years. Teela is rarely ever mentioned as a favourite. Nor someone anyone was asking to helm a show. I've always just associated her with her father. Nothing more beyond being Man-at-Arms daughter and "rival" to Prince Adam.

I've always liked Teela hahahaha and nearly always disliked Kevin Smith. He was probably too stoned to remember what the show was about when asked, that or not quite dying.

I've actually been quite removed from Kevin Smith and his work. I've seen Dogma and Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. I preferred the former to the latter, but that's all I know him from. I was quite shocked in the He-Man video how much weight he's lost since then.

As for MOTU, I've always been a fan of villains. The heroes are largely immaterial to me. Aesthetically, I do like Zodak and Roboto. As I do lean heavily in favour of the Space Age NA look.

Looks pretty good but a bit too pricey for my liking. No doubt they'll release a fakor colored version of it down the line but I think I prefer this ones robot heman look.

The undamaged head seems unnecessary, it's not like he comes with an undamaged body. For that matter does he stay damaged and swap into his orange harness? Feels like that harness and the spare head. I sense a fully robot "no skin" Faker in the future.

I've seen all of the wave 1 Revelations figures at retail now. The regular figures have a big display at Walmart while Skelegod and Battle Cat are at Target on an endcap.

I knew at least Target was getting some stuff because I kept seeing them on Target.com, but the Walmart display was a total surprise.

Smyths have listings for Origins green goddess, webstor, lop red beastman and Stinkor arriving August to September. I so better have my sense of smell back by the time Stinkors released!

Paid a few pound more to order Deluxe Buzzsaw Hordak off amazon, not sure why retail isnt stocking the deluxes. With Hasbro revealing SDCC GI JOe Zartan as color changing, it would have been even nicer for fakor to have the ability, fingers crossed Mattel follows suit and he gets a deluxe (with the original origins head too).

Picked up filmation skeletor, daft thing is I was happy with super 7 TV version but I want a classics skeletor to have the mini comics head. This doesn't satisfy my neeeeeed but great to have him. Think he's going to kick battle damage origins skeletor off of panthor.

All five are listed for December 2021 releases with retail prices of $23.99. No word on if these are Revelation themed or if it’s moved on to other lore. Previous figures had “Revelation” in the title though, and these do not.

If the viking/barbarian is anything like 200X fire/ice sculpts then i'm in plus if the others arent Revelations based that gives me more hope for other stuff like new adventures but i'm doubting it.

Bad guys are always creepier when they are smiling...

Buzz saw hordak packing features his mantis mount and flying fists heman.

The comic features mosquito -which just makes me want him more as well as a few regular masters.

The figure (dunno why I smelled it when I have no sense of smell at the mo!) has a nice Cape, the alternate heads decent. The blades seem really lose able and his firing mechanism doesn't do much, at least not for me. Wouldn't have minded a green energy effect of some type tho as it would have tied in to the comic.
