I agree with the statement that his face should look like a Bee since he is a Camero and he turns into a robot so his battle mask mode and coloring dictate the name.. thats actually pretty sensible and intelligent. In G-1 he was a bug so hence the name then... so it works...

I also prefer this battlemode face to the original face underneath.. it suits him better with battle mode mask down.. and I too wish the toys being released have that battle mode version.. but I know for a fact that the Ultimate Bumblebee won't, or maybe I guess from what I have seen he won't..I could be wrong though..

In any event lets hope Takara gets the rights to produce the Movie Bumblebee in style as a Masterpiece Transformer.. :PRAY:

That would have a movable and functional Battlemask option, now that would put their engineers to the test.. I could see this Movie Masterpiece Toy line being the ultimate challenge to Takara/Tomy.. given the kibble and mass shifting on these robots in disguise..I gotta say, I'm not pleased with all the movie designs, but at least this bumblebee (with battlemode mask) actually looks and feels like a G-1 representation..and Optimus Prime is pretty sweet too.. not too impressed by the other bots.. I still think Ironhide would look better in Red, and Ratchet should be done in White with Rescue markings, even though the rescue coloring is Puke Green, its still ugly...

Actually if they changed ratchet and made him black and called him trail breaker it would have suited his bot mode better..

But there is nothing we can do about it now..

besides it would be so much easier to save up and collect each one instead of being bombarded with like 20 figures all at once.. and the quaklity and detailing would be alot better, but its not a reality, the bread and butter of the toy industry is toys that can be opened played with, less detailed and more viable for play, and enmass production..so I'm just a dreamer.. but If we didn't wish and dream or have hope this world would be a dull place..

seriously...whats the point of these battle modes? that sounds like a cheesy concept toys would have..not a real movie...and like so what, covering their face makes that big a difference during battle? bet our soldiers wish it was that easy...lol

That's the impression I got from when it slid down over his face in the movie. It's obviously made of a tougher metal than the rest of him.

He should keep the mask down. Looks like the G1 toy and looks more like a TF head. And my thery behind the battle masks if because who ever thought of it was a huge Beast Wars fan. The first few waves of BW toys had battle masks. Its good for repaints. That way the figure has a "diffrent" head.

And whats with the Best Buy vip code thing?

I agree, I noticed the connection between the battle mask designs and the early BW toys too. You would think Hasbro would incorporate these into the toy designs. I mean, they've done it before.
