Could anybody please tell me what it is in that altmode that they like?
It looks like an undefinable illfitting mess of random plastic..., combined with a pair of scissors.

Actually it's the Voyager Class Megatron. This is definitely not a Fast Action Battler. I just got mine as well and am about to head home to take pictures of this.

You obviously haven't played with Ironhide and Ratchet, and it shows.
Maybe he means Jetfire.

I wouldn't know, I don't have one. However, this Megatron is quite ugly by today's standards.

Bleck! Looks like something that sunk the Titanic! Hope it does not do the same with the movie!

Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

I'm working on my gallery of this figure right now ... I'm liking the gun arm. The grey is a very weird grey. It looks grey but photographs more as a blue, which you can see in the pics already in this thread.
Very poseable. Could be my most favorite movie figure next to Wreckage.

ewww I don't like it. it looks like a frozen bird.
But I did see something like this being built inside a sound stage last July when I went to the wardrobe department for fitting. Like this, but about forty feet tall.

Thanks for sharing all of your pictures with us today. I think it's great that we're able to share these pictures with everyone while the fandom waits for these figures to start showing up on store shelves. I'm jealous that you've got a few that I don't have yet. I've been doing Buy-It-Nows mostly and have basically only been getting ones that I thought were "deals" (relatively speaking considering these are advanced copies of figures).

I must say that I find it a very weak transformation. Even with the other protoforms (Prime and Starscream) we saw, there has been a successful effort to disguise their robot modes, but not here. Megatron's jet mode, to me, looks like he stretches out his arms and legs, lies flat on his stomach and hides himself under the wing assembly. I really dislike the visibility of his head in jet mode, too. You could say that Energon Megs had that as well, but at least there it was hidden underneath the jet. Here it's in plain sight. A bit of a disappointment, certainly for one of the leaders.
