Yeah well...that's what happened, sorcery and mysticism aside. Spoiler tags removed because this spoiler over 300 years old. Statute of limitations and all that.

Fair enough, though neither of us had heard of that story going in (I knew about the honor suicides historically, of course).

But in my wife's mind, if a movie doesn't have a happy ending and/or everyone dies in the end, it's a terrible movie and she hates it. I know, she's missing out on a lot of good movies because of that mindset. I've made peace with that, so now I just  when she tells me, "That movie was awful!" when I thought it was okay.

Yeah, I started watching it a couple of years ago, then gave up about halfway through the 1st season. Then the ending was spoiled for me, so I didn't bother going back to it. But I heard good things about season 2-6, especially the season with John Lithgow, so maybe I'll try again.

John Lithgow's season was like any other season, it was John Lithgow that made it. He did an amazing job with his character.

I guess I'll start with Dexter then. And yeah, the ending sucked.

I'm trying to get into Superman: a The Animated series. Is it better than Batman: The Animated series?

I was planning on seeing pi]A Walk in the Woods[/i] but the theater near me won't play it. Idiots. And I wonder if M. Night Shyamalan is back to his old form with The Visit. It actually looks intriguing. Devil was pretty damn good.

Shymalan is a one-hit wonder. He hasn't made anything good except the Sixth Sense, and that was a long time ago. He needs to stop making movies. He's lost all credibility.

Unbreakable was great too, but otherwise...****, you actually said something I fully agree with. There's a reason they kept his name off of the marketing for After Earth.

I want to see it too! I love Bryson's books, and having Redford, Nolte, and Thompson in it is a major bonus.

I don't want to get in trouble by doing so. Doesn't stop me from considering him my nemesis. Kind of like the romantic tension between Burn and Va'al, read between the lines.

I loved it! It was an awesome film! Plus, I had a semi-first date there too. ;)

I've been watching Superman: The Animated series and it's making me feel really good. It's a fun, hopeful and happy show. The animation is so colorful and vibrant, and the characters are so bright and interesting. The music is epic and really gets me pumped up. I feel like Superman.

That Boba Fett Fan Trailer does bring up a good point though - where did Fett keep his ship ?

Also how many miles away is the Sarlaac pit from Jaba's Palace.

I always like the other idea of how he gets out which is by blowing a hole through the base and walking out via the underground caverns.

Do you mean waste lots of money on needlessly expensive equipment, nearly get mauled by bears, and not finish a task to completion? We can help you with that.

This is the first I'm hearing of the movie. I can't imagine any film capturing the heart of the book since it was more than just a humorous travelogue. I hope it turns out to be good. I'd watch it in the theater.
