A homage to two G1 episodes:

1. Microbots
2. Key to Vector Sigma

Takara was supposed to have included the "Star of Cybertron" power core crystal to be Megatron's sort of "Matrix". Takara must have shelved it( might have interefered with the transformation?)

And the literal "Key" to Vector Sigma. (I believe a 3rd party manufacturer made one with the Vector Sigma sphere)

Jup those where released after we had seen the prototype in bot-mode and they made quite a lot of people hot for the toy. But seeing as how he transforms I have no idea how they imagined they could have gotten the space for those things. But it would have been awesome to have a Megatron with a spark, Star of Cybertron and the key to Vector Sigma in his chest.

well not necessarily the Key to Vector Sigma, that would be too big.
Btw, in the 1986 Movie, it was explained that the energon dagger that megs used to stab Optimus came from his boot, maybe that would have been cool too (in paper that is) if it was implemented.

Cool pics! Thanks for linking them in the thread as I don't want to go into NSFW sites at work! The Heart of Cybertron and Spark accessory concepts look neat. Too bad they wouldn't have worked with the figure.
