In that screen cap, the shins and the shoulders and arms are the same color. I see blue. I also thought they were purple (violet, whatever) so this might just be animation error.

The arms are dark gray in that pic.

Are you thinking of the thighs instead of the shins? Cuz the thighs are light gray while the shins are light blue.

The torsos, waists, and heads, however, are violet.

Yeah, the arms are gray. I don't know WTF I was looking at...but the shoulders, torsos and lower legs are blue.

Starscream was black and purple, and at different times he was blue and red.

Thinking more about this Tweet, it might not be referring to today's reveal since it technically doesn't say that it was referring to the "next" one, just that this guy is "coming".

Don't think this tweet is about Reflector, wouldn't exactly call him someone everybody knows. On top of that he just recently got an update by Hasbro as a micromaster thing in the Generations line.
And we know the club can't use names that are currently used in the main-line.

Souvenir Troop Builder set? Wait... Armada Tidal Wave is in 3 parts, and there will be 3 Souvenir Sets. :-? This looks enticing for providing an incentive to get all 3 Sets

One part of Tidal Wave in each souvenir set? Oh man, that would be good business. Many would say evil, but I say good strategy. Could even throw the Minicon into the box set.

I don't see what's so surprising about the name. The Tidal Wave is the ship captained by Thundertron of the Aligned Continuity Star Seekers, so they just recycled the name of that ship for the ship captained by Cannonball of the Wings Universe Star Seekers.

It's no different from how the Armada Axalon took the name of the Beast Wars Axalon.

Or how the Animated versions of Metroplex, Fortress Maximus, and Trypticon (all lifeless buildings of legal significance) took the names of those G1 Citybots.

Three sets, three troop-builder figures, three components of Armada Tidal Wave.

Half-Life 3 confirmed. 8-}

In all seriousness, I doubt Tidal Wave would be the "character everyone knows about".

As for guessing something, I really got nothing. Drawing a blank on this. :-|

A TFCC version of Broadside using the Generations Blitzwing mold would be interesting. Retool the head, retool the sword as an axe, choose the appropriate paint deco. Yeah, the tank alt mode is quite a departure from his original aircraft carrier mode, but the jet form would suit him well (perhaps better than the vintage toy ever did). There are even enough alternate transformation options built into the mold to make a distinct robot mode for Broadside as compared to Blitzwing and Double Dealer. For instance, if you orient the legs such that the wings face forward instead of the tank treads, you get a reasonable representation of Broadside's legs from that one G1 character model based off a prototype design for Broadside's toy.

So Broadside (named after the Naval term) would no longer turn into a ship? Shenanigans!

The ship is called the Tidal Wave, there is nothing that suggests that the Tidal Wave mold is being used, other than the coincidence of it being made up of 3 parts.

We don't have much to go on, so we're just speculating here. There's nothing to suggest it's ANYTHING at this point, so the best we can do is make guesses based on clues. Didn't they say that one of the figures would be an Armada/Energon repaint?

"Broadside" can also more generally be used to refer to the total fire power of a vessel or vehicle, or any sort of attack that musters an appreciable amount of power or force. Or, it can be used as a verb to denote the act of making a powerful attack. Close enough for the TFCC's purposes, I say! ;)

Besides, it would be nice to have some sort of Classics Broadside that actually triple changes for our collections until Hasbro/Takara-Tomy come through with a proper Classics upgrade for the character.
