I'm not too much of a sucker for 'toon accuracy but its definitely a figure I'd want to display alongside Siege Optimus because he need his waifu!

As much as I'm in the minority who find some positives about POTP Elita-1 (if you ignore the poopy sticker quality, her vehicle mode is lovely) I'd definitely be down to get a more toon-accurate, smaller Elita-1 with the car mod and will probably repurpose her POTP self as someone else or an upgraded form.

So many of those TR and PotP molds would have been so much better w/o stickers....
I was/am a fan of the combiner Elita One.
I’m also curious about the next wave. Also- do we think it may get unique or completely exclusive releases?
I guess the wave one equivalent being Hotlink & Scrapface (everyone else is just repainted versus unique characters(.
I can’t see Bee being completely exclusive to Walmart.

I think a camera made of 2 Refraktors and Scrapface in the middle looks good, unfortunately his accessories are a different color. Of course if you already have 3 Refraktors, it's not a problem.TF-fan kev777 wrote:SpikeyTigertron wrote:Scrapface on the other hand.... need to resist getting two more....
Fortunately Hasbro is helping you resist by making him 1 per case. As soon as I realized that, I gave up on a trio. (Also already having 3 regulars and the exclusive 3 pack helps resist too).

Stuff like having a yellow striped instead of an orange one just looks better.

I like how his gold stripe is worn. They did a good job with that, but the all gray accessories made me think twice.

I have the Siege and the anniversary version, and I like them well enough, but the Netflix one is not different enough to warrant a 3rd purchase of the mold. My main gripe is that I think his paint job is crap. I would want the accurate Pinpointer from the box and that's it.
Like so many of us who snatched up Crosshairs... like me. The G1-accurate Lionizer sweetens the deal more.
I saw that end cap display, much to my surprise. What to get...

I think this is THE definitive Classics Megatron. Has the right look. The right alt. mode. The right paint job. Good articulation. I'm not sure what they can do to make a better Megatron, but this tops the list as far as official releases go.
If I see him, I might get Mirage and pretend he's a different character.

Oddly, everything was there, but there was a significant lack of tie-downs (only 2 on pinpointer). I wonder if this is Hasbro's slow move towards using less plastic, a packaging error, or someone did really return it, but put everything back?
Anyway, although this is the 4th use of this Megatorn, this is MY first go at it. If nto for the Battlemasters included, I would have skipped this one as well. This is my first Modern megatron toy, and eh....although it is getting some praise, I'm just not feeling it. In fact I had it transformed iniitally incorrectly because I coudln't get the front end of the tank all clocked in place. I figured it out, but I cant tell you how, it was quite accidental
As I've mentioned in other threads, I'm not sure we'll ever get my *ideal* version of Megatron (MP version scaled down, less parts/budget) not possible for a variety if reasons. But oh well.
Now just need to find Hotlink, and my only seeker, will be one of the most obscure ones

I feel like the normal Siege one is good enough since Megatron's Netflix colors are relatively dark, I think the 35'th anniversary one is a bit too shiny in comparison.

I would go with the original Siege as well. Original Megatron has Galaxy Prime as his counter (as is in the comic) and the anniversary figures go together.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Quick Question: which Optimus Prime would go with Netflix Megatron? The shiny 35th Anniversary one or the Siege original?

I can kinda see why Netflix Megatron would be disappointing to some. He's basic Megatron. No bells and whistles. Two colors. Regular G1 look - blocky and functional.
Which is why I like it, TBH. I want a blocky, basic Megatron that has no gimmicks and is the right size. So this fills that niche quite nicely. The basicness is exactly what I like about it.

Netflix Megatron is like a refinement of the Siege Megatron process. It just feels so much better than the 35th Anniversary. I still want the Select Combat Megatron because of the look but I think I have enough of this mold with ER Megatron being so similar. Today I picked up Hotlink and I feel like he is the same as Netflix Megatron, a refinement of the Siege Seeker process. The color looks so good and again he just feels better than Siege Starscream does. Maybe it's a mental thing with these figures being newer than the previous but I am really happy I bought them both. The additional Battlemasters and effects definitely sweeten the deal.Gauntlet101010 wrote:Maybe just wait and there'll be a Netflix Prime later on. Honestly, it's just like the Siege line to make you rebuy a figure.

I think that's why I'm so on the fence with the Netflix ones in general (seeing as they'd all be literal repeats for me except for Hotlink and Scrapface). I think they make better use of the blast hard points too... actually having weathering were it's relatively relevant.
But is it worth double dipping for display purposes.... i'm not sure yet. The real kicker is going to be when wave 2 comes out... and wave 1 disappears into the aether…

Yesterday I went back to the same Walmart with the end cap and took your advice. Lo and behold I found a single spoiler pack. I now have all of the Netflix wave 1 figures. Thanks!Rodimus Prime wrote:Make sure you look real hard for the spoiler pack. At my Wal-Mart it's on the bottom shelf at the edge of the TF section, blending in with Power Rangers. Remember when Siege Jetfire was in stores, he wasn't even in the TF section.
One thing I definitely noticed, after handling each Netflix figure in turn with their Siege counterparts, is that the paint is definitely different. Like physically different. You can tell by the feel. And tightness. Every one of my Netflix figures feels tighter in the joints than their Siege counterparts. Plus the visual quality of the paint is very apparent when side by side. Like a different chemical mix or something. Heck, Hound's head is so tight I thought I was going to break it when turning and apparently several people have.
Definitely glad I got these figures.
