Perhaps, but hell set it to do it before you go to bed, or out for 9 hours or something.

Heck, don't upgrade all your bots on the same day. Do one a day rotate arround the others.

I have a bot running arround with 7 tons of Carbon Fiber on a level 3. I'm not going to rush and upgrade to the other armor. But then I am not fighting over a top spot in the game, so I dunno.

I'll tell you all one thing, I am glad I got armor on most of my guys while the times were lower, but the time cost is accross the board for everyone so no one person should really see this as some monumental setback.

I'm reading it two ways.

1 - The higher rank armour you have, the less resetting you do thus you will have it longer.

2 - I look at the new tactics and one of them is suppose to strip you of your armour. They way I see it is the way I've always seen it. Longer install times
means better armour, shorter install times means you get finished and get back on the road quicker.

I said Armour couldn't be balanced without rewriting the mechanic.


and i agree entirely with Burn on the shortening of armour install times; SOME OF US DON'T RESET, and i take exception to the mods presumption that changing armour precludes resetting, so we end up with almost two days of down time or a reset.

everything and everyones views are looked at within the game,but you can never 100% satisfy everyone at any given time,so you go for the highest percent you can get,while still looking at the views of everyone as a whole, while not forgetting anyone and taking their gaming experience for granted,too much over one another.


to me it brings more options

you got to think about your choices more now,and work out a plan with your 12 possible TFs when you want to reset and/or get the better armor for each.
if you want to go fantasy route and total time the game has been around view at it,all the years some have played,what is 2 days in the shop when you come out stronger,your new body shale has been crafted and/or removed from the last shale ,and added to the internal structure of your TF.

Still don't see the point of it then as one type of armour will eventually be favoured over another.

things are slowly coming together,this is a major game issue that is starting to be addressed,and is by no means final in anyway.

Yeah nice avoidance of my earlier questions. ;;)

But if it's not final can we expect a stat/tactic reset so that any experimentation done now isn't pointless down the track?

Not to mention that once it is sorted out such a reset would be handy across the board for those who have won alts in previous tournaments and can't reset. Oh and the fact that once it is final it'd be nice for a clean armour slate across the board.

Looks comparable to the Force Field armor, dropping a devastating/incredible weapon to 1% damage and a devastating weapon to 2% damage. No apparent effect on tactic damage, though.

It looks impressive to me, against weapon attacks, it is very nice so far, but needs more testing
... but I've seen much better mission results, yeah.
03:01 Strafe ->down to 8%
03:46 Gauss Rifle with 6 str ->down to 7%

Damocles test with Nano-Regen armour #1

Let's see how this goes...

*EDIT* Seems to do well against weapon attacks, but even with 10 END, tactic attacks are doing more damage than they really should be at that level...

Scavendrill - Trythilium
Lohikaarme - Vanadium-Steel
Celaeno - Vanadium-Steel
Stratosphera - Vacuum-Metal
Blackhertz - Vanadium-Steel
Darkwylde - Vanadium-Steel

The bottom half are (as of this writing) still in the armory, despite having started their re-armoring around 5pm EDT last night. Like Tammuz said, the re-armoring process takes too long, and not everyone is willing to lose their alt or go through the annoying process of resetting their characters everytime they replace armor.
