I read somewhere that if you looked closely at the pics of the bot in your instruction book you may be able to tell by different head sculpt and/or other differences weather, or not that figure was slated for the "changed head, changed paintjob= new figure" treatment. I recall reading that thunder wing was one of those figs (although I saw no difference in the way he looked vs his pic in the instructions) and now he dose infact have a repaint coming out with a new head sculpt. Im speaking ofcourse about sky shadow.
So, is this a coincidence, or is the whole instruction book hinting at new figures thing a fact? If it is true, then which figures have been hinted at that we have not yet seen new figures of yet?
Any speculation, or official confermation on which figures the hinted at figures will become?

You're late These figures have been leaked via their instructions:

- Sky Shadow from Thunderwing (Instructions were later corrected)
- Junkheap from Wreck-Gar
- Vortex from Tomahawk
- Space Case from Terradive
- Cybertronian Cliffjumper from Cybertronian Bumblebee
- Axor from Lockdown

Furthermore, the instructions of these figures show retools that have yet to be identified:

- Scourge (most people think Leozack or Ratbat)
- Sergeant Kup (most people favor Orion Pax or Gears)
- Warpath (it's a safe bet that's Hardhead)
- Lugnut (He's a tricky one)

Don't forget Perceptor, supposedly Reflector, but it all seems to have gone quiet on the announcement front

DoTM Laserbeak into (Buzzsaw?) too. I really like the look of the fig in the instructions .

I was kinda hoping RTS Lugnut would become Jhiaxus with that new head sculpt in the instructions booklet

You're a little behind my friend, Vortex has been released as a Takara DOTM exclusive and Axor was put out as part of the HFTD range.

Someone incredibly handsome and lovely asked Hasbro at the Botcon panel if we were going to see Reflector, Hardhead etc. and they gave a delightfully ambiguous answer along the lines of "we like to have those options available"

But I didn't go to Botcon

Yep, likely because RTS/Generations (or whatever name they give it next) is back-burnered for now I expect, since they're still focusing on movie figs and the upcoming Prime line. They'll get back to it eventually (hopefully soon, especially now that Takara is moving on with United).
