Hey! I've been looking for a thread like this.

I've had my eye on this figure (refer to attached image)
I have had the chance of opening the box and the legs are separated from the main jet body. I know that for this figure you have to detach and reattach some body parts to complete the transformation from jet to robot. My main query is from the box, when it was sealed, are the legs separated from main jet body? Any replies will be appreciated.

they`re not seperate of the main fuselage but due to the nature of the insert they often let go when you pull de valkyrie out.I`ve had it happen before on other 1/60 VF-1's and it`s no big deal, they`ll lock into place again no sweat.

A follow-up question: Is this toy solidly made? Is the plastic durable?

It's a Yamato Macross release. 99% of them are the greatest things ever molded from Die-Cast and plastic; sometimes there is a production error but Yamato are very quick to fix these.

indeed, I only have ONE broken Yamato valkyrie and that one fell hard, breaking the shoulder hinge.and lately with only minor flaws/errors in first releases(the SV-51 wings I cal a luxury complaint, not a serious issue)they seem to be learning to make good releases first time around too.by the way gang, anyone seen the promoclip for Macross F yet?the VF-25 looks amazingly complex. and for those who haven`t yet seen it, here is said clip.according to what I gleamed off Macrossworld it`s due to start airing Q2 2008...

Still two more models of the Ride Armor to be shown. Houquet and Blowsperior. One of which is still supposed to have a figure of Mint.
I think I'll pre-order the Megahouse version. Though if Beagle (when they do finally show their cards) pulls out anything better, I'll cancel.

To me the VF-25 looks like a cross between the VH-2SS and the SV-51.

Also, I finally have a 1/48 VF-1J Hikaru and 1/48 Urban Camo GBP coming soon so happy!

no prob Purifyer, that`s what this thread`s for right? to show off and inform about the latest Robotech/Macross releases. speaking of releases, Yamato has announced a third repaint of the SV-51 in a cannonfodder colorscheme and Toynami have FINALLY given a timetable for the 1/100 Super/Strike sets and wave 3 of the valks!according to Toynami these will be released Q1 of 2008. now all we need is news on the CMs Legioss and Thread set and we`re pretty much solid I`d say.

I recently bought myself a G1 Jetfire/Skyfire/VF-1S figure. It is beautiful. Unfortunately, the seller failed to mention about a broken shoulder connector. But he did allow me to return it. However, he was quite stubborn about giving me a full refund. Sometimes people do not have the decency to follow their own policies. Well, anyway. Hope you enjoy the photos.

Some rubbing alcohol should take care of that yellowing. Post a pic of the broken joint and we might be able to help.

If you like that Jetfire you really should consider picking up another 1/48 VF1S DYRL Hikaru and repaint it with the G1 Jetfire colors.

I personally would`ve gotten another Jetfire and swap the backplates out for one with an unbroken hinge.it`s an easy fix really...and a yellowed inner plate isn`t as bad as a broken joint I`d say.then again, this is advice after it was too late to fix right?anyways, I`ll soon have a rare and sweet modelkit coming to me this friday. I`ll take pictures of it`s state when it arrives.

no, it needs to be glued but the box alone is bigger then a 1/48 valkyrie.it`s really big and when I finish it I`ll post pictures alongside diferent valkyries.

I haven't bought a new TF in months since I hate the movie and the new cartoon doesn't interest me. There hasn't been much news in the way of the Robotech world; my blue Alpha Mospedia fighter is in at BBTS so I hope to get it soon. Apparently it is the Japanese release of the MP fighter so I hope they've fixed whatever problems there were with it. By the by has anyone bought the new version of Shadow Chronicles? I was looking at it and almost fainted when I saw it was going for $40 plus tax at FYE, for a two disc set. CD Universe has it cheaper. Heck, most places will probably have it for cheaper.
